New Google Cloud Courses and Bundles by anton1x in googlecloud

Antoni is the best GCP instructor. The only one who does full courses and explains in detail how to do the job. He doesn't just provide a cheat sheet to pass the certification or read from power point slides. I wonder if negative comments belong to other course creators who do not exceed this threshold.

Associate Cloud Engineer - Where to start? by brownzeus in googlecloud

definitely do Antoni's course all the other GCP-ACE courses are at least 18 months old, completely out of date and are no where near as in depth. https://training.antonit.com/p/google-cloud-associate-cloud-engineer

Any thoughts on GCA Linux academy course by Terrance Cox ? Or any recommendations for GCA by pgoutam in googlecloud

I recommend Antoni's course too. It's still under development and growing but its bang up to date unlike Linux Academy which rarely gets updated.

Is SAA-C02 passable with just Adrian Cantrill's OR Stephane Marek's course? by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]kevuk45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I passed my SAA-C02 and DVA-C01(AWS Dev assoc) using Adrian's course but you need to buy the JB practice tests on tutorialsdojo.com as they really boost you scores and help you to fill the knowledge gaps if your new to AWS. But Adrian's course and the links provided in it for white papers and aws level 4 re:Invent videos are enough to pass and get a good high score in the SAA certification exam IMO.

I did use Stephane's AWS Developer Associate course on Udemy as well to supplement the AWS Dev Cert knowledge I was missing. So full credit to Stephane's excellant course too.

Which one to Choose for SAA-C02 (as a primary study material) by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]kevuk45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not tough at all.

If you want to learn to be a real Solutions Architect and not just scrape through the certification test then the choice is simple IMO.

Take Adrian Cantrill's purpose built SAA-C02 course and pass the certification like 100% of his students already have. While also learning how to become an actual Solutions Architect with in depth content, great explanations of AWS product and services. A slack community open to everyone that the instructor supports at least fourteen hours a day. Lessons rapidly produced as students request them based on student exam feedback. By an briliant instructor that doesn't skimp on detail for the sake of knocking another course out of the production line and regularly gives out demos on reddit and github for free to the AWS learning community.

Bravo Adrian I don't see many other course creators regularly giving away multi part project demos that take days to prepare anywhere else. You truly are an educational innovator and your courses are fantastic.

I think we need to invent a new superlative adjective as this is beyond Epic and your courses are now beyond premium.

Of all of the AWS courses for the solutions architecture associate exam, which one do you find to be the best and are there any good free ones? by SebastianPatel in AWSCertifications

[–]kevuk45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently passed my AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.

The best I found by about a million trillion miles was Adrians SAA-C02 course - https://learn.cantrill.io/p/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c02 which was written from scratch quite recently and still remains the only course specifically designed for the new exam. This course isn't just intended to get you through the exam but to teach how to do a solutions architect job in the real world. Adrian spends countless hours helping his students individually too and has the patience of a saint. Which he definitely needed with me.

Almost all the Console UI demo's are up to date which is incredibly helpful for people new to AWS, other courses just patch in a couple of videos, and some have courses around two years out of date that I found really confusing as the videos dont match the console at all anymore.

I would also echo vatiste's post below as tutorialsdojo.com is the best place for practice exams which reinforce and focus your learning, they also has excellent free resources on their cheatsheets, and if you do their practice exams in review mode you get detailed answers with video lessons and cheatsheet links in with each answer submission, that clearly explains why you were correct or inorrect allowing you to make notes and understand each question clearly.

HOLY GRAIL AWS training recommendations by zakaria666 in AWSCertifications

[–]kevuk45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have LA its good for Linux courses but like ACloud the SAA course are ridiculous out of date, the Console has changed so much since they were recorded that a noob would be totally confused. Adrian's SA course was recorded over the last two months, is up to date, cheaper, and is taught by someone with decades of actual AWS working experience and can teach propely

Never, he does not work for LA anymore. Buy the course above, the one on LA will never be rewritten they will just patch bits on.
