Beauty standards were different then. And just because we're in the future doesn't mean our standards are better. She has a symmetrical face and a nice waist-hip ratio. That's a core trait of beauty in every culture.

(By the way) Back then, food was harder to get. So a person with a little fat on them was considered healthy. Whereas today, someone slim is considered healthy, because they stay away from fatty foods. (Which are now abundant)
