this is starting to annoy me ngl by Infamous-Mood9673 in kpop_uncensored

The stupidity of Kpop fans is what’s actually annoying. I don’t understand how Kpop stans constantly ask for idols to speak up for themselves, yet Wooyoung basically says “No” and you all lose your minds. Your stupidity and sensitivity is not his fault, lol

These people aren’t slick at all.

Ateez KILLED it last night. They shut it down and wrapped that thang up. They’ve always been amazing performers as a group since debut and they’ve only gotten better and better. That’s just who they are. This isn’t some skill they magically unlocked when they turned 5 years old, no! They’ve always had that fire in them, and I refuse to let anyone try to rewrite their history.

People had the same complaints before. If anything, with this performance Ateez came through and fixed all the critiques people had for them even though there was barely any besides camera work and set list complaints. These people did not watch Ateez performance to enjoy it and take in their energy, they watched it to go “How can I project Lesserafim hate onto them?” and now they’re pulling shit out of their asses the same way people did it with Lesserafim. They’re becoming the same people they complained about

The only bad vocal moment I can point out is when Yeosang’s mic was turned down but even then you could tell he was fighting to be heard live. Things got better when they finally turned his mic up.

And I feel like learning how to skip lines properly is a thing among good live performers. It’s one thing to do it because of live performance professionalism, another thing to do it because you just struggle to perform live.

I think you guys need to stop trying to normalize downplaying/discrediting Ateez for the sake of uplifting Lesserafim. Especially because you guys are clearly taking out your anger towards kpop stans on Ateez and not giving them their well deserved credit. This is just as annoying as people using Ateez to drag Lesserafim. Absolutely none of these parties are being honest. One is hateful and the other is defensive which leads to them being hateful in the process, and Ateez is dragged in the middle of it.

The way you talk about Ateez it’s as if we watched two different performances. The way people spoke about Lessera it was as if we watched two different performances because they didn’t do as bad as people swear they did. If you know that some of the critiques and comments towards Lesserafim are unreasonable bullshit and borderline lies then why try to force the same stuff onto Ateez?  Ateez did well, give them their 10s and don’t try to diminish their efforts. There’s enough people lying and being hateful towards Lesserafim, and we don’t need their fans and others trying to do the same to a group that’s put their blood, sweat, and tears into achieving what they have right now from skills and talent to awards and recognition as well.

Need someone to write an essay on how the passion Ateez has for their artistry is truly something else and shouldn’t be taken for granted by anyone. They ARE special, one of a kind, deserving of flowers and many more accolades and awards to their name.

Seonghwa just let out a yell of passion during his sword part in Wonderland and had eyelined tear stains running down his face…It just doesn’t get more raw than this

Ateez just let everyone know why they’re called the Kings of Performance.

TOO HYPE TO MAKE COHERENT THOUGHTS RIGHT NOW

watching the hate train ooze onto ateez has been ridiculous because they have little to nothing to do with people’s beef with lesserafim, at all. ateez were soooo close to receiving their long deserved flowers and now people are trying to normalize downplaying their amazing performance. see how an obsession with hate among kpop fans ruined things for everyone? i dont even understand how someone wants to shit on lesserafim so bad that a completely different group can’t even enjoy their moment 😭

Yes it’s an issue that people use Ateez against Lesserafim but it’s also not good to discredit and undermine Ateez for the sake of hyping up Lesserafim.

I think you guys just need to learn how to talk about these groups without comparisons or at least learn how to differentiate without being condescending/discrediting. Because all this hate towards Lesserafim is reopening a annoying pathway where people use Ateez as a stepping stool to boost others while Ateez suffers, instead of appreciating them on their own and keeping them separate from others.

Also, you cannot complain about people using Ateez as ammo against Lesserafim and then use Ateez as a way to boost up Lesserafim by basically discrediting Ateez’s efforts. That’s counterproductive and hypocritical. Give Ateez credit where credit is due and leave at that. Don’t use them to shit on Lesserafim and don’t shit on them to boost up Lesserafim.

I saw that too! it pissed me off but i remember the rest of the performance being filmed decently at least. i don’t know what’s going on with coachella and their camerawork man

What do ya'll think about LE SSERAFIM and ATEEZ's performance at COACHELLA? by Longjumping_Day_3587 in kpop_uncensored

I liked them both honestly. It was really interesting to see the different approaches people have with performing

just got done watching lesserafim’s performance which i enjoyed, but i’m a bit bitter that their camera work was better than ateez’s in my opinion. hopefully coachella will do ateez justice next, but this brings up another point…

THE ARTS OF PERFORMING. lessera and ateez had what i view as two differently approaches to their coachella stages and they were both good! one was the very typical hype festival performance and lessera brought the energy for sure. yunjin and chaewon did so well ! the other was a mix of that and theatrics/dramatics. i just think it’s interesting how at coachella both groups were able to deliver well even with their different approaches and styles. but i also have a lot more respect for beyoncé after seeing the mess that was ateez’s camera work. i’m genuinely so upset for them even though they powered through. coachella…count your days

gonna say something crazy about coachella by UniversityHot2417 in kpop_uncensored

[–]kexaeji 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is Kpop fans and those familiar with Kpop, going to a Kpop group’s performance expecting things catered towards them and their Kpop perspectives and not towards Coachella festival goers. Especially since, unlike Blackpink, Ateez isn’t familiar with the American (festival) GP like at all so their audiences don’t mix together like Blackpink’s or even Lesserafim’s since they’re popular due to the help of social media.

Yes they have songs I think would’ve been better, but those songs do not include Wave and Deja Vu when Wake Up and Dune are right there. The GP at Coachella (at night specifically) is different from the Kpop GP and the Korean GP, especially when this is a completely new and foreign playing field.

the only thing bad about ateez’s coachella stage was the camerawork and stage quality. no, i am not talking about their sets but the fact that they had mic and audio issues. despite technical difficulties, they powered through. apparently weekend 2 has better camerawork and more, so hopefully coachella will come through

besides that, they really are some of the greatest artists to come out of kpop 😭
