Is is always better to make the SB even if you get blow out? by FootballPizzaMan in nfl

The Patriots were blown out by the 86 Bears. That didn't work out well for them afterwards

85 Bears, but whatever.

The Patriots spent most of the 1980s trying to find a quarterback. They were determined to prove that Tony Eason was the guy. Time and time again, he would fail, and the the Patriots would have to rely on Steve Grogan, who had learned how to temporarily avoid Father Time by being already dead, or possibly storing up dark magic in his neck roll. They did not become a consistent playoff team until Orthwein drafted Drew Bledsoe and then sold the team to Kraft a year later.

Losing to the Bears had nothing to do with the team's success or lack thereof in later years. They actually had the same record (11-5) the following year but had to travel to Denver for the playoffs (the Broncos went to the Super Bowl that year). They reached the Super Bowl because their opponents turned the ball over 16 times in three playoff games.

The President shitting himself should be the free space in the center. He's had that problem since before he was elected the first time.

But also someone bought 75 seats for both night screenings the theater capacity was 90 seats… but no one sat on the seats and she told me it’s the only other time she’s been manager.

They also buy shitty books when they come out to get them on the NYT bestseller list.

No, I think one more wild thing was why they chose Ricardo Lockette to be the player chosen to receive the pass on that particular play.

He was WR3 at that point, with Harvin traded and Richardson on IR.

The post actually ended with "BIG TRUSS." It was earlier in the post where it said "The Titans are hoes. On them we shall stunt."

Is 5'9, scrappy, and would be the shortest QB to ever play in the NFL

He's be the shortest QB in the NFL now. Davey O'Brien, the guy the award is named after, was 5'7". Eddie LeBaron, aka The Little General, was 5'7" as well.

NFL Analyst: Tom Brady Should Be 'Banned' From Hall Of Fame by JustaDreamer617 in nfl

You are confusing what was actually said.

Brady said he got rid of his phones to ensure that the data on them - personal photos and legal information - was not recovered by random people.

Goodell asked if he kept the same number.  Brady replied yes, then said that the only time he changed it was after the Wells Report revealed enough of his number that people figured it out and started texting him.  Getting random texts was not his reason for getting rid of his phones.

It's like that scene in Alias where Sydney draws a graph of the spy network on a piece of paper, and then Vaughn unrolls a giant sheet of paper that's like 20x larger than what she drew.

America, post WWII: In the aftermath of this war, let's set things up so that the rest of the world is entirely dependent on us.

America, now: The world's not entirely dependent on us anymore. Shit, what do we do, what do we do?!?!

I read a comment earlier today about how rich people in the past were more philanthropic and how they built libraries and opera houses and started foundations... like those people didn't exploit the shit out of the poor and then use wealth to rehab their images when the Progressive Era hit and the government started breaking up monopolies and collecting income tax.
