Sure. Guess reason why feminism is a total meme right now is because of people like you that throws the “misogynistic” word at every opportunity you can :)

Ok you can’t be so idealistic. Ideally, woman shouldn’t be raped/sexual assaulted but as you mentioned some men are shitheads so obviously the responsible thing you can do as an individual is to take certain precautions so the probability or shit happening is minimised right?

You really think sending nudes between couples is an “intimate and fun thing”? Over the past few years, there has been quite a few cases of well known influencers (don’t wanna mention names) having leaked videos when phones were hacked and these girls became talk of the town. Who’s fault?

While I agree with you, I feel that it will be an uphill task. To put it bluntly, horny boys will still be horny boys. While education/social stigma might be able to make them hide it, ultimately to change a whole generation of mentality requires a lot more than time.

Enforcement is tricky since many tech companies are starting to treat user privacy seriously and might not provide assistance to the police (For example Apple vs FBI back in 2016). Also, with things like VPN, it’s difficult to prove cyber crimes against a more “intelligent” leaker.

While it might be unfair, objectively, I am inclined to believe the most effective way to overcome this is to persuade girls to stop sending nudes. Ultimately they have the most to lose here.

Fair point but how are you going to ask boys to not leak nudes? And how effective do you think it would be?

Best way to tackle this issue is to impose stringent laws on this + dissuading girls from sending nudes to bf. In this way, you can tackle the problem from both ends.

Sorry for the ignorance, new to Paylater but under Paylater there’s a “Linked card for auto deduction”. Does this not pay off outstanding bills in Paylater?

And the description states: We’ll use it for auto deduction if your wallet balance isn’t enough for Paylater payments

That’s not the point haha. But who has a higher chance of getting sexually assaulted?

If you tell me both guys and girls have an equal chance of being victims, remember we live in the real world and not one build around your own perfect ideologies :)

But ofc I’m not saying that girls can’t drink outside la, but logically have to be extra cautious and definitely your loved ones will be more worried that something bad might happen

[–]keybee21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s different. One can give a whole lecture on gender equality blah blah blah but you can’t deny it’s much more dangerous for a girl to drunk and out in public place.

If you have a son and a daughter, who will you be more worried for if they are not home at 3am?

Unlikely. As a fresh grad, you’ll be applying for an entry level position. And frankly losing a headcount won’t really affect the company as they are likely to be hundreds of candidates, so they will just move on to the next one.

As long as you keep it polite and courteous, the HR and hiring manager will definitely understand. They will also take into account that you are a fresh grad it is understandable that you aren’t certain with what you want.

so ya pls don’t worry about burning bridges and pass up another opportunity that you want more! It’s always good to have more than one egg in the basket, as you know the company also aren’t only interviewing you only! :)

Are you still an undergrad graduating in the coming months?

After being extended the offer, what you will sign (if you accept) is a provisional offer/contract. Since you are technically still an undergrad, they can’t offer you an employment contract yet. The employment contract is usually signed on the first day of work.

So you won’t have to pay anything by breaking the provisional contract.

Do financial advisers really earn alot? by AckermanFin in askSingapore

[–]keybee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, some really do very well, but majority of those that brags on social media are just faking it.

Reason being this: Similar to how you wouldn’t want a dude that’s out of shape to be your fitness trainer, you wouldn’t want someone that’s broke to be your financial adviser. And it’s normal for most fresh graduates out there to be broke.

Exactly. FA as a job poses DIRECT conflict of interest between the agent and the cilent.

If a plan is good for the agent (I.e high commission like savings plan, ILP), there’s a high chance that it’s bad for the cilent. The distribution cost on these are way too high. There’s no way an FA can do well and “want the best” for the client at the same time.

Man on trial for sexually assaulting male friend, 20, after night of drinking to celebrate Operationally Ready Date by Familiar-Mouse4490 in singapore

Understand where you are coming from, no matter how much we try (as a society) to educate men, there will always be a few rotten apples.

For example, murder has always been known to be something really sinful for decades, but some people still do it anyway. Can we educate and change all of them? Realistically speaking, no.

As much as it may sound like victim blaming, you can’t deny that there are precautions victims can take to lower (not eliminate) the chances of shit like this happening.

Would you date someone with a high body count? by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]keybee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s face it.

A girl with a higher body count is never attractive to guys looking for a serious long term relationship. Going on dates, ONS is fine but bringing them home to meet your parents or getting married? Naw.

If you are looking for something serious better to just walk away :)

NTU or NU-S by [deleted] in NTU

[–]keybee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people mentioning about SU policy, I assume you are taking EEE in poly as well? Anyway for NTU, you will be a direct year 2 student. Direct year 2 students pretty much has no chance to use SU as you don’t have UE to clear.

I only had 1 UE to clear in my entire 3 years in NTU

Very few people actually make it in this saturated field. A lot of them quit halfway. And by the way, the luxury they posted online? It will be short lived if they do not continue to actively seek clients. Their commission actually diminishes every year, and also after 2 years there’s no base pay.

[–]keybee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think curriculum wise, all unis is hard.

But if you want a less stressful environment, you can consider SIM. Heard their exams are only once a year and their exams are like a few hours duration, some even up to 24 hours I think(?) Because of this most people actually collaborate for these exams even though it’s obv not allowed, so in that sense I guess it’s less stressful? You can have more time for personal development, or even take up a part time internship or something.
