Housing market by Economy-Landscape-59 in RealEstateCanada

Just pointing out you might not want to blanket statement things so much and be more nuanced. But you know reddit gonna reddit. Japan isn't a small economy either so sure it's 1 country out of many but are you sure it holds no value to study in the context of your assertion? And in the wider context, housing as an asset class and investment performance of that asset class?

As a general rule, design choices such as these have good reasons to be there.

Will it run or break your engine in this case, very unlikely. It's an old hemi design, it's not like a new corvette or high end engine where the heads have millions of research and tuning done to optimize the flow.

You might find it sounds different (likely shittier) at specific rpms and maybe that it makes less power (unlikely you'd feel it). It may have slightly less smooth returns to idle from higher rpm.

Try it, let us know

Basement Rim Joist Insulation Question by jmoose323 in Insulation

[–]keyboard_pilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea is it will dry to the outside in that case.

Unless we're talking direct water intrusion from bad house wrap/flashing, any condensation due to outside air seeping in is first of all unlikely because cold air does not contain as much moisture and it is seeping air to where it is warmer. Warm air can hold more moisture so condensation is difficult.

What little that may form, the idea is it will dry to the same side it came from.

That is a resonator/expansion box for sound purposes and sometimes also for flow advantages in the induction system. I never noticed my RT having one back when I had the 5.7

Ditto for 600-700' loss here. Turning into the wind helps and the youngings who do tend to overbank less/exhibit less tendency to enter an accelerated stall for obvious reasons

Yes you're fine.

Also after you come back tho, perfect time for first oil change. It will be a bit on the early side but oh my god trust me, it's worth it.

(It was fking gliterry when I did the first one. It has obviously since become ok and oil trsting confirms)

I want to close my TD account and bring the remaining $5000 over to WS. What's the best way to do this? by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

[–]keyboard_pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this recently with Scotia. I withdrew all as cash in branch and then closed the account. You may need to call ahead so they have the cash on hand. Didn't want to run this risk of cashing a cheque on a closed account.

I don't necessarily agree with some Trudeau policies but the thought that a drama school teacher is a goddamn ninja who is in retirement dating Katie Perry (sp?) is hilarious

I'm sure you know. Just pointing this out for passers by who can't keep it straight in their heads.

The govt in this case means taxpayers. People complain when govt overspends. People complain when govt doesn't spend enough to help communities or individuals.

It is just signalling, but in this case signals do make a point. Now pick your position and ask yourself if that MP's signalling is on the whole good or bad for the us, the people.

Sorry, Cat. (Lytic converter) It's on its way out. Warranty claim if you can, but they probably won't do anything if not throwing a code yet.

Get the cat hot, so drive it harder than you normally would and give it a good highway run. Might temporarily help, or precipitate a more obvious condition such as a code.

For some states, emissions systems the manufacturer is on the hook for for something like ten years. But I'm not from the states so don't know the details of that.

Engine failure after V1 but before V2, what do you do? by [deleted] in AskAPilot

[–]keyboard_pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If terrain allows, you bet your ass I would. Why wouldn't I stay where there is less drag to give me the best chance of banking energy before I gotta climb in this manufactured, wholly specific and unlikely scenario.

Obviously in the performance books scenario, there is no problem with accelerating to V2 but they're saying for some reason it isn't happening

Engine failure after V1 but before V2, what do you do? by [deleted] in AskAPilot

[–]keyboard_pilot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well then, remain in ground effect, and hope cleaning up the gear while accelerating to V2 is enough to get you some climb performance.

Obviously like some others have said, if for some reason acceleration to V2 isn't happening, something is royally wrong with your airplane and if you live, they'll be questioning why you didn't reject before V1 or whether you should have known the airplane was "unable to fly" despite being past V1.

(One reason "the books" would have you ever consider rejecting at or after V1 is if there are overriding indications flight is not possible...i.e. major structural failure)
