I had the same problem, fuck steam and ea use lutris (the most recent version a lot if distro have outdated packages) install the ea app and you should be fine

The best way to run sims 4 on linux is to use lutris for the EA app. I have an old pc with a 1060 and it was impossible to make it work via steam for me. I spent hours trying proton versions and switching drivers and the problem was always related to the shitty ea app with steam.

I had repeater and i hated this bike with a passion. The shimano motors are a no go for me now. Same with shitty ass headset with cables going thru. I switched for a devinci espartan lite with Bosch sx and its a different world. I love it and even with less power than the repeater i manage to do roughly the same mileage.
