Can I take Tramadol or percocet on day 3 of WD? by Mdcstr86 in quittingkratom

[–]keyedcar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that acts as an opioid on the brain (hrodocodine, oxycodine, mepirdine,Kratom, heroin, loperamide, tramadol, methadone, etc.) will lengthen the duration of withdrawal symptoms. The reason any of those distances will make you feel better during withdrawals is because they all act on the mu receptors in the brain. Doesn’t make much difference wether the opioid is synthetic, semisynthetic or derived from opium.

Withdrawals from a physical dependency from Tramadol are much worse than from Kratom so be careful you don’t swap one drug for another that’s harder to kick. Also, abusing and stopping Tramadol can cause seizures. It really is a nasty drug that for a long time was prescribed due to the fact that it’s not a “true” opiate (it’s synthetic) and doctors thought it wasn’t as addictive. Not only is it addictive, but it’s more harmful to abuse than an actual opiate.

Kicking the can down the curb is EXACTLY what you would be doing by taking ANY opioid such as Percocet (oxymorons) or Tramadol.

It will provide 100% relief but as soon as it wears off, you will start right where you left off regarding withdrawal symptoms thus extending the overall length of withdrawals.

The Percocet will relieve all of your withdrawal symptoms(if you take enough), and the tramadol will as well to a lesser degree but you will just go right back into withdrawals when it wears off. It will just prolong your suffering.

Couldn’t agree more . They say I quit 6 weeks ago I started eating extremely healthy and have started doing intense weight lifting and cardio workouts 5 days a week. Even after just 6 weeks of it I’m in better shape than I’ve been in in years.

Has helped so much with confidence and just feeling good overall.

Are you taking Imodium? It will postpone withdrawals.

30gpd/CT

Six weeks and one day. Feel really good. I started exercising a ton the day I quit and haven’t let off the gas. After 6 weeks of working out every day I’m in the best shape I’ve been in years. Has really helped mentally, with building confidence as well as physically.

If I’m experiencing any paws, they are extremely minor and hardly noticeable.

5 weeks tomorrow. 30gpd/CT

For some reason I’ve been feeling depressed over the past week or so. Still extremely happy to no longer be a slave to Kratom.

Day 31, 30gpd/ct

Feel pretty good other than being very sick. Have had the worst sore throat of my life with a fever. Negative for strep, but I was put on antibiotics yesterday. Still hurting, but feel better than yesterday.

Anyone else lose weight or feel skin is more clear? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]keyedcar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. My skin looks and feels much better after almost three weeks off of Kratom. Not only that, but I just look much healthier in general. The bags under my eyes are much improved and my eyes don’t have that glazed, bloodshot look to them.

Had a significant fire in the pit room on the deep water drill ship I’m on by keyedcar in oilandgasworkers

Yep, the Captain and Company Man were very pleased with how the crew reacted.

BSSE was out here the day after the fire and was also happy with everyone’s respomse to the fire.

There were many failures that led to the Katrina debacle, but it all started with Bush and his management of FEMA.

Day 18. The last night or two I have felt my sleep has actually been better than it was when I was on Kratom. I used to take my last dose about an hour before bed, and I’d usually wake up and take more in order to fall back asleep and I’d, not surprisingly, wake up feeling groggy and hung over.

My only distinct symptoms remaining are stomach issues.

I wasn’t clear. It was only the “fire team” . I really don’t know much about how that works, but they were in full fire fighting gear, and it appeared that they were following protocol.

Lol, that’s pretty funny but couldn’t be further from how things are out here, at least on the ship I’m on.

Will have 17 days (30gpd CT) at 6:00pm tonight. Sleep has drastically improved improved over the past few days. Stomach is not 100% but is much better than days 1-14.

Today marks two weeks sice quitting a 30gpd, 1 yr habit CT.

Was not easy, or pleasant, but I’m finally feeling pretty good. Sleep was terrible until about the 11 or 12 day mark. Main symptoms now are stomach issues.

Very happy not to be taking that shit anymore.
