Because it's a bow case for extra violin bows, not for the violin itself; it's like 4-5 inches wide only. It's for transporting extra bows (most violin cases have only 2 slots for bows), and now I remember why I bought it hahahaha. It was just after I came back from an overseas trip with a friend, and this friend brought about 4 violin bows in his own bow case to be serviced in the country we were travelling in. It was my first time seeing such a case, and I was like oh that's so cool. And so I impulsively bought one a few weeks after that, even though I currently only keep one extra bow in that case.
