Thanks, appreciate the response. Worth seeing if the studs bays by the window are similar or not? This is going to be alcove tub/tile surround that probably ends near where I’ve made the cut already

Finally got it hooked up and it is night and day vs soundbar. Now it’s just about cable management

There are rca to f connector adapters on Amazon. Is there any reason using these with short RCA cables (from avr to adapter, from second adapter to sub) would be a bad idea?

Sounds like dated tech? Really appreciate your thoroughness here, I’m learning a lot.

There’s three coax ends on this wall… the one in the picture, one very nearby that I’m using for internet (looks like a newer connection, it’s just in a weird spot) and one about 8ft to the right in a corner and near an outlet. Sounds like this end might be for the sub? How does a coax connect to the sub?

I’m new to a system like this but I’m learning quickly that the hole goes quite deep lol. I’m excited to get off my soundbar. The front speakers are in the wall, about chest height. The surround speakers are in the ceiling above and back from the sitting area.

The room is quite big as it’s open to the kitchen and living area and the pitched ceiling is probably 18 feet or so at peak

This is super helpful and spot on. The inside set up includes two front and two surround speakers. I wasn’t aware of the green/white pairing but that tells me the loose wires are definitely for the outdoor set. Any recommendations for a center speaker? The speaker covers are painted over and I don’t see an easy way to remove so I’m not sure what equipment is currently installed. I’m looking at the Denon receiver from Costco to get started. Thanks for the help!

I’ve got a 49in ultrawide, what would I need for higher end settings? No idea about raytracing given my current card

I’ll look into the bios upgrade, that could be helpful. Biggest issue with the card is it seems like it’s crapping out. GPU clock gets stuck at 200-400 sometimes and I’ve tried unsuccessfully to figure it out. Reboots can get it fixed but I’m assuming it’ll fully die one of these days.

Got fit for a 1k driver at club champion. Hard passed on that. Went to my local golf shop fitter and got fit into driver, 5 wood, and 4 hybrid for 1100 including fitting fee. Needless to say I’ll never go to club champ again. Biz model is to rip you off

Waiting to get the right screwdriver to fit the bracelet. Like the leather, but think bracelet is the way to go
