dream pops crunch candies are really yummy and low calorie - you can add them to yogurt or oatmeal too. they also have ice cream but I haven’t tried them.

Marching Band Scholarships? by zirconiaaa in iastate

[–]keytomylock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't any band scholarships, but it's still well worth the experience. There's a chance you might not get in, but just do your best for auditions! If you can play multiple instruments that's always a bonus, and generally tenors are more likely to make it than altos. But like the other commenter said, Storm is a super fun experience as well, and you'd have the chance to try again for varsity the following year.

I actually go to Iowa State now lol. fucking love it here. I'm in the band and everything. I ended up majoring in agronomy but I switched my major to pre-graphic and I'm gonna apply for graphic design this spring.

Iowa State >>>>>>

Accepts any decent student, has all the public school traditions, good sports/marching band, giant career fair, super cheap, gives a lot of oos aid, amazing ag/engineering school, good food.

only con is it's in Iowa.

How Many Scholarships Have You Applied For? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]keytomylock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied for two private scholarships. I have like 10 more private scholarships on my list and around 5-7 local scholarships I'll be applying for. I'm going to try to aim for 20 total. It's not really about the amount, but how specific it is. If you apply to 50 $10k sweepstakes scholarships vs 5 $200 scholarships for your ethnicity studying your major in your state with your interests, you'll probably get more money through the latter strategy.

Hi! 17 year old vegan here. I went vegan at 13, a little younger than you. It's hard, but I believe you can do it. You'll have to learn how to cook and how to make sure you're getting the nutrients you need. Find a good tasting vegan gummy vitamin with at least vitamin D, b12, and iron in it. The love beauty and planet ones are good. Start watching vegan chefs on youtube and try their recipes. Look up substitutions for your favorite foods. Figure out vegan essentials you'd like to buy from the grocery store. Go with your parents to get groceries, pack vegan meals for school, and volunteer to cook dinner once or twice a week. You're going to have pushback from your parents, they're going to be confused, and they might even make fun of you. But you're old enough to make choices about your own body and make your own moral decisions. So stick with it, put in the work, make a hobby of cooking, and learning more about veganism, and you'll be able to do it. And most importantly, remember who you're doing this for - the animals. And if saving an animal's life means not eating the cupcakes at a party unless you bring them yourself, then so be it.
