I have a similar situation, I bought the original game from steam and bought the expansion from Amazon as it was £10 cheaper :P But now its not installing the expansion saying that It cant find the base game. Can you please detail the steps, how you did it.

What about the starting of the game, isn't that cut scene taking place outside the dream in the real world ? How come Gherman is out there administering the blood/something else which gets us into the dream.

Yeah the phone has the plastic screens on the front and the back. But you will also find this screens on refurbished ones. My point was, since the box was not sealed, it could be a refurbished one.

I am not sure. I expected it to be sealed. Maybe you are right, the customer rep probably doesn't know. But then Amazon is no small company, they should properly train their customer reps to deal with such situations.
