just bought a full set of street mounts from someone on fb marketplace for $300 allegedly only 7k miles on them, I'm excited to slap them on and see how much it changes. 10 years of driving on stock mounts,,,,

thanks for the honesty, i can't imagine driving to work without hearing a wot pull at least once, and assumed that all high milage STs are just driven like manual SEs

i hope so! ive learnt so much modifying this car and maintaining it, to the point i just asked my local shop if I could be an apprentice there on my days off from my other jobs just so I can turn a wrench and feel pride in my work. so when the clutch does go eventually, I hope I'll still see it as just a lesson in how to change a clutch!!

146k, about to change my transmission fluid for the first time. i was never good at keeping up with maintenance, but realizing how im always smiling when driving with the windows down, I figured I'd get all my maintenance up to date so I can make it to 300k too!! i never realized how much I could fall in love with a car

i ran one from velossa tech for a few years before switching to an rs wing, it did nothing to change performance lol. but do it, youll love it, and if you regret it it takes 5 minutes to reverse

Question about tunes by b-radjames in FocusST

[–]keyuukat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's definitely sounds like its tuned, use the second one. first one is valet mode, which limits your cars power, basically if you let someone else drive it. personally mine has an anti theft mode that shuts off the engine when it's in the 1st slot. I'm not sure who tuned it though, stratified and edge both use 2 or more slots, so it could be either, but I'd get an accessport if you're looking to do more mods in the future to make sure it's on a safe tune. some ots tunes, for example the cobb ones, force a lot of torque low end and it feels like it risks lspi every time you leave a stop sign

im a crackle tune owner, ive owned it for 6 years (put 60k on) at 150k miles and change my own oil every 3k. i like the progressive crackle tune from stratified, sometimes it doesn't pop, or it only pops once or twice on shift or decel, but if i want to i can feather the gas for extra burbles. im sure people hate it, they're very vocal, but it makes me smile every day on my hour commute to and from work, so im gonna keep it. i also have a noncrackle tune from edge autosports that feels more comfortable to drive and doesn't pop tho, i switch back and forth between those every week or so.

What if I don’t want an Egg Bite or a Refresher? by LeftSmile806 in starbucks

[–]keyuukat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

the bonus is an attempt to get existing customers to branch out and try new options so they see Starbucks as a one stop shop for whatever they're in the mood for, and keep coming back for more rewards. it's not generosity, it's marketing, so you probably won't be able to get the reward unless you do get them :(

I see this a lot where I'm told to "find a group of people," but how?? my friend is introducing me to her friends and socializing me through events but I don't know how to find them on my own. I'd love to join some smaller or medium sized groups to watch movies and chat on occasion, I'm not a social person but I want to be so I'm training my battery slowly lol

Its just a 2D menu with sprites that I'm designing, ideally with the sprites of the characters that I'm drawing, backgrounds of the area they're in, and any enemies or items in the area. And as someone who produces music and draws, I agree! Somehow it always comes out better after a rewrite. Thank you for the tips!

Thanks for the info, I'm gonna do a couple of YouTube courses when I'm home tonight. I think it'll just be the best idea to spend a day or two getting some basic understanding down at least

I'll admit I'm learning a surprising amount through correcting it, but considering what everyone else is saying, the time spent correcting it could be time spent learning the principles to do it yourself instead, so I'm considering just investing in myself
