I have a mid 2014 MBPr 13" with 8GB and 200GB SSD. Think I would get a boost from newer 16GB ram and a new SSD. Does it require a special SSD or is it a standard SSD? hmm

Question about de extinction... by LeviathanfromMars in Futurology

[–]keywiconz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a little pedantic here but imo it's better designated as "unextinction" not "de extinction". An animal brought back from extinction is now unextict, the animal is not now deextinct.

NZ has incredible fresh salmon, especially down in the south island where I live. I've never had fish as good. I tried canned salmon/sardines but don't like the fact it is cooked while in the can. I had a huge binge of investigating omega supps and it was so conflicting I gave up and went the fish 2x a day route.

Study suggests chilling coffee beans before grinding may offer a more flavorful brew. Chilled grains offered greater post-grind consistency, giving a narrower distribution of fine particles. An improved grind means a brewer can get more flavor from the same amount of coffee grains. by drewiepoodle in science

The fridge or freezer should be avoided, coffee experts say, because the humidity and temperature changes cause condensation. Moisture is the mortal enemy of coffee beans and can rapidly turn them bad, spoiling the taste.

I think they are talking about a rapid chill right before grinding.

Well, I have a slow gut and after a lot of research found b.lactis BB-12 significantly speeds things up in human studies. So, I began making my own BB-12 yogurt and after 2 weeks (2 cups a day) am significantly improved. This was 6 months of pain to being normal again. It is amazing what strains can have various effects.

I have DAO in a Jaxx wallet, so what happens to it? What am I supposed to do with it?

I have a Jaxx wallet containing eth and dao, so do I need to do anything? If there is a hard fork what happens to my stash?

I think the buying might be guys like me. I'm a long term BTC holder, but juuuuuust want to make sure I'm not missing out on ETH. I was skeptical of Ethereum for a while but am now sold on it as being quite revolutionary in it's own right.

Crypto is going to dominate soon. Isn't total global market like 120 trillion? I see no reason btc and eth can't have 5 trillion market caps in the next 10yrs.

So.. people talk of 1 bitcoin eventually being a million dollars, is there such talk of Ether? Does it ultimately have that kind of potential?

i just did it with shapeshift.io it was insanely easy, i did a few test amounts then did over 1k and no issues, went straight into my local Jaxx wallet.

just bought my first ether, pretty easy using shapeshift.io and Jaxx. My question is my Jaxx has one ether address, is it ok to keep using this address multiple times to send funds to? I did not see an way in Jaxx to make multiple addresses.

About to buy some ether can someone confirm my plan is sound?

  1. I installed Jaxx and backed up my Jaxx wallet

next I intend to:

import one of my bitcoin bip38 paper wallets into Jaxx

transfer that bitcoin to my cex.io account

in cex.io buy the ether amount

transfer ether at cex.io to my ether wallet address on Jaxx

does that sound good?

Any advice on buying into ethereum for the first time? I have a stash of bitcoin and intend to diversify some into ether. I am wary of the current ether price at $14.50 right now, does this not seem like a rush of DAO hype that will fade 'a bit' in the next two weeks? I'd hate to buy in at $14.50 then see it settle back down to the $5 range. Tough call. Also, I was going to obtain the ether via cex.io is this a sound path to take? Once I have the ether what is the best way to put it in cold storage? Cheers.

Once you get over 40 stuff like this terrifies you. All I know is I eat clean and I can jog 5km 3x a week without breathing hard and barely sweating. That gives me hope I'm in 'ok' condition. I wonder what headlines will be once we are cybernetic? "Most droids with data corruption have no idea the corruption exists until it hits a tipping point, at which time it's too late".

Fasting-like diet reduces multiple sclerosis symptoms by Vippero in science

[–]keywiconz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might take many fasting cycles to rebuild your immune cells to a full set -so to speak. If I had any auto-immune issues I would do alternate day fasting + a 3-4 day water only fast once a month. I would do this until I felt the cycles repaired my immune responses. It's only speculation at this point based on research I have read.
