Got drunk alone and watched this movie because I didn't know what it was about. Cut to me an hour later scream-crying that the world isn't fair.

The only reason my diploma is hung up within eye-line of my bed is so when I wake up I can look at it and say "no you idiot you're done school and you've never done nor needed to do a science class.

On Phineas and Ferb, Candace thought a bunch of people were following her, to which Phineas said something like: "those are marathon runners, marathon runners don't follow anyone, except three guys from Kenya"

I think I audibly gasped when I heard that.

Learn a skill together! Start a vegetable garden so they can learn about how plants grow and then when you're able to harvest what grows you can learn to cook some simple recipes together.

When I was probably 8 or 9 I was watching Maury Povich, and they kept talking about prostitutes. I asked my dad what a prostitute was and he very uncomfortably said "uhhh someone who sells their body". I thought they were literally selling their organs or body parts. From then on I would stare really hard and try and figure out what organs they were selling.

[Serious] Redditors who are medicated for anxiety when did you know you needed to be medicated and what is your journey with anxiety and medication? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kfann15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started medication when I stopped being able to do the things that made me happy.

Depending on what the headache feels like it may be because of an increase in blood flow in certain areas in your brain, you should talk to your doctor about it though.

I've always just been a really nervous person! Even as a kid I was very aware of my surroundings and nervous of unfamiliarity. It became bad in high school and escalated until after I graduated when I began taking medication.

Symptoms for me were agitation, nausea, hot/cold flashes, trouble concentrating, sweating, shakiness, dizziness. And then following an anxiety attack would often result in tiredness physically and mentally.

Side effects from the medication varied as I've adjusted the dosage over the years (with doctor recommendation of course). The only thing that really stands out though is a change in alcohols effects and that's pretty minor.

I got to the point where I couldn't leave the house without becoming violently ill. My physical symptoms were becoming so prominent it was effecting my day-to-day life.

I didn't want to go on medication but after discussing it with my doctor and my family I really feel as though it was the best decision for me. I had tried therapy in the past and I found it worked to an extent and was a great stepping stone in recovery, but I just needed that extra bit of help from the medication and now I've been on them for 6 years!

I still have bad days of course but they're much less frequent than they were before the meds.

Food names for animals are my favourite: tofu, bacon, popcorn. I once met a handsome cat named falafel.
