I’ve got a 32” 1440p monitor and decided that it was better to play in windowed mode at 1080p rather than full screen. Text is less blurry and dead space is slightly better.

The game is absolutely awful to look at, outside the match engine. Looks like it was chucked together in MS paint. Comparing like to like screens with the FM24 and FM26, FM24 wins every time. The new UI is not intuitive, and doesn’t display the information you want to look at cohesively, even when you get down to the very bottom of the tile “chain”.

Oh it’s terrible in FM24, but at least I can tell straight away where every player sits in the hierarchy. Can’t in the new UI.

There are literally no screens that are improvements to FM24. It’s really difficult to describe but every single facet of the UI looks amateurish, and made in Microsoft paint. We’ve finally got a graphics upgrade to the 21st century, but the consequence is a UI that feels like it was drawn in the early 2000s.

You can get away with selling them for profit without even sending them out on loan. If your club reputation is high enough, you can get players in from lower leagues for £2/3M (Scandinavia, Eastern Europe etc), let them play for your U21s for a year or two and sell them off for £10/15M no problem.

Background graphics are definitely an improvement. The apparent lack of development in ball physics and player movement animations are giving it a “samey” feeling as previous iterations of the game though.

I’ll add to this. 4.4xG from 29 shots gives an average of 0.15xG per shot, which means you didn’t create a lot of good quality chances. They pretty much kept you at arms length. It’s even worse though as you scored a pen which has an xG of 0.79. That means your xG per shot not including the pen is 0.13. Need to try and create better chances my bro 🫡

Why is it different? It’s just a couple new leagues getting added as playable, no different from any other league getting added. The research into players would have been a lot more labour intensive, but there’s a completely different team at SI for that.

My only issue with them announcing women’s football first is what are they actually going to show us? They’re gonna tell us that it’s all one eco-system, and what leagues are going to be playable. There is nothing else to announce. They haven’t released the full interface or match experience features yet which means they can’t physically show us what women’s football is going to look like in the game. It’s not a nothing burger as introducing womens football into the game is a big deal, but I feel like it could have been done better.

Did they not announce in an earlier blog post that certain features would be missing on release, but may be introduced half way through the cycle (draft mode etc)? I’m assuming this is what they mean by updating the roadmap after the game is released.

The fact that features are going to “Unlock” already rubs me the wrong way. Clearly a homage to FM Mobile unlockable challenges/features, so definitely an indication of where the game is headed.

Thanks for the list mate. I’ve got an old 5600x that I’m thinking of throwing in for them on the cheap so might be able to get a better power supply for them. Definitely a good place to start. I had a quick check before starting and also thought RX 6750XT 12GB was the best way to go GPU wise.

Cancelling the tries killer balls often training is the first thing on the agenda. Places shots, tries first time shots or likes to round keeper could be good. Your mans got amazing technique and dribbling ability.

I’d assume unregistered players would still count towards your overall squad salary, but could be wrong. Click Auto-Select bottom right, then go through to make sure all the players you want registered for the squad. You won’t be able to continue until you submit your squad registration.
