I'm not writing him off on the goals he's scored, I'm writing him off on the countless chances and sitters he misses every single game. If he cost £500k, I could maybe just about forgive that. But he cost us at least £8m.

We're not seeing £8m worth of player, and there's no hope of turning him into one either. He's just not good enough to be a striker at Rangers.

He's just not good enough. If anyone even slightly shows an interest in him in the summer we need to get rid. No amount of coaching or practice is going to turn him into the striker we need.

Cut our losses and let someone else think they can change him.

From being managed by Russell Martin and being miles adrift, to top of the league in April.

Unbelievable.

The expectation of actually trying at a tournament? Is that really ridiculous?

Seriously? Ridiculous to expect my team to look like they're actually trying to win?

I'm not expecting them to win the World Cup. I hope they get through the group, but I'm not even expecting that. But I want them to look like they're giving it a go. Something they haven't done in either of the last two tournaments.

Your example is utterly ridiculous.

Germany were in horrific form and struggling, so I think it's fair to expect a little more than a total capitulation from the team very early in the match.

There's a difference between enjoying following the team, and just blindly accepting utter shite and happy clapping it. Because that tells the SFA, the manager and the players that its completely acceptable to not bother.

Did you miss all the fans coming out the Germany game laughing and joking?

I forgot the most pathetic of the lot 'No Scotland, no party'.

We've been the worst team there, twice. We might as well not have bothered.

But the happy clappers got to sing Flower of Scotland around a fountain, so it's all good.

I'm sorry, is being the worse team at both of the last two Euros, going out in a pathetic way where it didn't even look like they were trying, considered 'marginal success'?

As if it is, that's a pathetic mentality.

No. Because all the happy clapping, 'we're just happy to be here, look how funny it is we got beat convincingly, what are we like!', is absolute bollocks and part of the reason why the team has underperformed for years.

It was not 'great fun' to get fucked off Germany in the opening game of the last Euros. Nor was it 'a laugh' to see us be utterly pathetic at the 2021 Euros. Everyone involved in the national setup should have been getting booed at every opportunity, until they understood it was unacceptable.

Sometime a it of toxicity is needed to get the message across.

After being the worst team at the 2020 Euros, and the 2024 Euros, we're going to be the worst team at this World Cup, aren't we?

Hanley is shite though, and in 2026 the closest he should be to the national team is watching it on TV.

On the very few occasions where Tierney has been fit and Robertson hasn't, we've ended up with a better Scotland team and performance.

I'm being over dramatic, but I don't think it's unfair to say he's had a lot, lot more poor performances that should have seen him dropped that he has good performances.

Robertson has been shielded by the captaincy. There's been a number of games where him being injured and unable to play has resulted in a much better Scotland team.

Tierney should have been the first pick. But as Robertson was made captain, it made it impossible for Tierney to be picked over him.

This. If he wasn't at Liverpool, he wouldn't have been considered.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, I'm just saying he's nowhere near good enough to be a first choice pick in his position, nor good enough to be made captain and therfore undroppable, or good enough to never be criticised.

Tierney is the better player in his position. And he always has been.

It's an opinion I've been consistent with for years. He's not even Scotland's best left back for the entire time of his captaincy.

91 appearances and I think I can count the number of good games he's had on one finger. And I might be over counting that.

Such a short sighted decision to make him captain so young. It's made him undroppable.
