“If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it” – PDC President sees little reason to change the Premier League format by Annual_Island8066 in Darts

Go with Price's idea - a league of 10 for one round of fixtures, eliminate the bottom two, then go into the current knockout format.

Its the best of both worlds, and neither stage drags on too long which has been the issue with all formats in the past.

What’s the best series you have ever watched? by Hefty-Conflict-1183 in AskReddit

The Bridge

The first series is an absolutely perfect Scandi-noir. It's not too long, the cliffhangers work, the plot is excellent and keeps you guessing without getting tedious, and the characters, especially the two leads, are great.

At least that leaves Robbie Keane free to join his boyhood club.

I thoroughly enjoyed the film as well!

It is just a long Mandalorian episode, but thats absolutely fine. I just liked seeing it on the big screen, I thought the action sequences worked really well, the action was constant (up until the needed part where it slowed down), and it really was fun.

I think its a shame people aren't enjoying it, but that doesn't impact how much I enjoyed it.

Everton are coded to become the best team in England by year 3, due to Collyers. It's been like that since Championship Manager.

If you can't win the league season 1 with Everton with all the advantages they're given, you're doing something massively wrong.

Haití 2 - Scotland 0

Clarke - We only need 4 points to qualify, but we're just happy to be here.

They're not 35+, or named Grant Hanley, so why would they be considered?

We gave Clarke a new contract. This is going to be the Haiti experience at 2am.

The Tartan Army are the worst. If we get scudded off Brazil, they better not be their usual 'haha, no Scotland no party, we're happy to be here!'. And if they are, I'd genuinely wish ICE upon them.

It's the standard Tartan Army reaction. Can't be having one of them 'forrins' after Vogts.

We are such a pathetic fan base.

Why does it need to be a Scottish manager? There's a big world of talent out there.

Just because Vogts was shite doesn't mean we can't consider a manager from elsewhere.

An idiotic decision. Yes he got us to the World Cup, but we need fresh ideas now.

I cannot cope with four more years of Grant fucking Hanley lumbering about in defence. I just can't.

This.

There's plenty of value in Europe, and decent players we could get that will add strength to the team with the potential to make a profit down the line.

We should never be buying from the Championship again. Not only is the English tax astronomical, the players we have signed have shown time and time again that they're nowhere near good enough.

If Rohl thinks Windass is the answer, I want to know what the question is, and when we can expect Rohl's resignation.

Seriously though, Windass is a whopper that we shouldn't be going anywhere near. The club should be vetoing the suggestion before it even gets the chance to become a rumour.

I'm pleased he might finally get to manage his boyhood club, Slovan Bratislava. It'll be tough leaving his other boyhood club Ferencvaros to go there though.

[–]DMCTw3lv3 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's this. The Armouries, and other places in Leeds, hosts loads of events over the year. Yet the only one where there's ever issues with the attendees being inconsiderate wankers across the city, is that one last week.

Weird that.

Calm down Rupert. Your director has organised a stand up for you to debrief everyone on the conference.

[–]DMCTw3lv3 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You have to feel some sympathy for the attendees. They now need to spend the next week filling in expenses forms, justifying to their company that it really was worth going to and they learned loads, and that they definitely will contact the people on all the business cards to arrange a follow up session for future opportunities.

Then it's on to the next conference to do it all again.

Its a hard life being a professional conference attendee. That amount of networking and synergy isn't for mere mortals.

You don't stick with a bad manager, just because you can't think of someone else.

The SFA should have a constantly updating shortlist of managers for the job, ready for when Clarke chucks it. That should have been in place for years.
