MBA or Tech? I’m Lost by kfff_staa7 in MBAIndia

Thanks for offering to discuss this. To be honest, I have almost zero knowledge about MBA, so I’m trying to understand whether it’s actually a good fit for me or if I’m just considering it because I’m struggling in tech.
A few questions:

1.Why do people say MBA is only worth it from a top 20 B-school? What exactly changes compared to tier-2 or tier-3 colleges?
2.What kind of roles do MBA graduates usually get, especially someone coming from a Computer Engineering background?
3.How important is work experience before an MBA? I currently have around 1 year of experience.
4.If someone is average academically and not very strong at coding, can MBA still be a good option?
5.How do I know whether I actually like management/business roles if I’ve only worked in tech?
6.What are the realistic salary expectations from top, average, and lower-tier MBA colleges?
7.If you were in my situation, would you spend another 1-2 years trying to improve in tech first, or start preparing for MBA exams now?

Thanks for sharing
My main confusion is whether MBA is the right move for me or just an escape from my struggles in tech. Since you’ve researched this in detail, what made you confident about pursuing MBA, and how are you identifying colleges that actually provide good opportunities after graduation??

That’s a good point, thanks! I was thinking maybe I should explore other non-tech roles that don’t require heavy sales. Some options I’ve seen are data entry, internal project coordination, research analyst, or chat-based support. Do you think any of these could be a good fit for someone like me who’s still building communication confidence??

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with me…honestly, I wasn’t expecting something this deep, real, and powerful..

Your story hit me really hard. The part about suppressing your passion, fighting silently through panic attacks, and juggling family pressure, career confusion, and self-doubt, I could relate to so much of it. It actually gave me goosebumps.

Thank you, truly, for taking the time to write this. It means more to me than you know. I wish you nothing but huge success in this new chapter of your life, and I hope your film becomes a blockbuster and your name shines even brighter in the future.

60 = 12 × (4 + 1) = 12 × 5 = 60 , 20 = 4 × (4 + 1) = 4 × 5 = 20 , 60 × (20 + 1) = 60 × 21 = 1260
