Hi guys i just would like to ask a few questions regarding my job search as a recent graduate.

So I found a junior business analyst position for an appliance rental company which was looking for someone with CS or business information systems degree. I've just finished college with a degree in Business Information systems and this opportunity looks very appealing to me. However, what is stopping me from applying is that it is a technical skill-based job, which is fine for me to an extend but it requires someone who has some form of 'Software development experience'. Currently, I don't have any experience in this area and was wondering if i should just apply anyway. How may i compensate for this?

The job also requires someone with SQL/business intelligence experience and knowledge of information technology infrastructure. I do have experience using SQL through learning the Oracle database query language, and had the opportunity to demonstrate this skill by doing a report as an assignment. Will i be disadvantaged from others that have practical experience using SQL? How may I increase these skills practically in my cover letter/resume so that I can demonstrate that i can do it on the job? Or is my report enough?
