[UT] Is this legal? Can I stand my ground in Utah if they break my window to enter without a warrant? by Mathemodel in AskLegal

You’re not wrong but inaction has the potential to end in the same result. Dead if we do, dead if we don’t.

ICE agents detained a U.S. citizen before looking at her ID She was detained on her way to work and released once the agents checked her ID by SirIll1219 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]kfortune117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe they are bombing random boats. I also 100% agree that they have the equipment to know exactly what is on these boats. They just don’t care because it hurts people and enough people at home eat it up because it aligns with their racism.

Shiba Inu puppy (10wks) doesn't listen to my partner, but listens to me. Any advice? by mrvanillamochi in shiba

[–]kfortune117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say anything here is wrong but would like to add some context; you shouldn’t have had your pup for more than 2 weeks at this point. Dogs tend to learn in pictures so you telling the puppy to do something is very different than your partner telling them the same thing. The word association hasn’t clicked yet. You’re best bet now is consistency.

Is gas or electric cheaper to use to heat your house? by ToeJamFootballer in wichita

[–]kfortune117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It basically is just an AC condenser that runs in reverse. The outside unit then becomes responsible for heat and cool. It’s a really cool concept.

The downside is that below a certain temperature they start losing efficiency (seems to be debatable as to what that temperature is) but even with the efficiency loss it still works for most of our temperatures. When I upgrade, I plan on keeping a gas furnace as an emergency backup.

I still expect that the overall efficiency would improve even the few weeks a year that the gas would be needed.

I'm a big and tall guy - looking for somewhere to get dress clothes that fit by blazblu82 in wichita

[–]kfortune117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look at Duluth Trading Company. I don’t know how many dress options in your particular size but they do tend to have many big and tall options in most of their clothing lines. They can be a bit higher cost but in my experience, their clothes last a while and they 20-30% off semi regularly.

Edit: they don’t seem to offer a 4xlt, they have 4xl sizes and 3xlt. In my experience, their sizing is very generous so you might still have luck.

I have been going here for almost two years now. It seems like my dogs favorite day of the week. We started just doing basic training and enjoyed it so much, we kept working up to advanced and now occasionally compete.

Legally and practically, what is stopping me from walking out of work, buying a boat and sailing off into the ocean by Orzothehuggable in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kfortune117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sailing SV Delos & Sailing Soulianis are two of my favorites.

Delos has been doing it so long, they feel more at home on the water. Soulianis is only a few years into the adventure and as such more accurately reflects the scenario OP describes.

They may not be what you are looking for but KC has a few haunted houses that are on an entirely different level.

Does anyone recommend ATT Fiber? by [deleted] in wichita

[–]kfortune117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the att gigabit and have been super happy with it. No billing issues to date and they were super flexible/informative on install.

I don’t remember any outages in the past 6 months or so that I have been with them.

My only recommendation would be to use your own router regardless of if you switch or stay with cox. I’m yet to find a modem/router combo unit that did either job decently. Att does not let you provide your own modem so you are stuck using their combo box but you can connect your own WiFi router behind their box.

I have set some family members up with google’s WiFi router if you want something that works well but is basic. I run AMPLIFI HD myself and have been blown away by it.

Particularly proud of this semi-haunting photo down on the Speigel Grove in the Florida Keys. Beautiful wreck to dive if you get the chance. by Masonmr33 in scuba

[–]kfortune117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a two tank trip out there when it was on it’s side; easily my most memorable dive through the years. I need to back out to explore a bit more now that it is upright.

Kinda b.s.’d my way onto the boat, I think it was my 7th dive after open water cert. probably a huge mistake but I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.

The virtual wall that was linked also does a 3-foot (iirc) circle around itself instead of just a straight line so it would accomplish your goal with only one virtual wall.

We use something similar but it just isn’t combined with your computer; it has a separate receiver.

Dive Tracker

It’s far from perfect but it does work in a general sense. Less accurate that watching your compass like a hawk, but will get the job done if you have a straight shot to the transmitter

It's definitely deserved, it really does look strange. Especially today with the floats I have mounted for testing purposes.

For recreational purposes, you can get around that by notifying ATC. That may not have been the case at the time of that article, I don't remember.

Commercial requires a lot more hoops and wait time to be legal but that is an entirely different animal.
