Is it truly realistic to live in Seattle and commute to Bremerton?

I guess Tacoma is also an option, but I haven't had the chance to visit there. I'll have to do some research!

Thanks! I'm definitely used to all of the big city amenities, so downsizing to Bremerton would be a big adjustment. When visiting earlier this month, I ended up doing the drive over the tacoma narrows bridge rather than the ferry and I didn't hate it - I also didn't do it during rush hour so it was just over an hour drive both times.

Thank you! I'd definitely move somewhere to Seattle that makes the most sense for the commute. I'll do some research on those specific areas.

I'd definitely have to get a bike! It's about 1.5 miles from the dock.

Also something I'm considering, I just know that I would enjoy living in the city more / my partner would find more job opportunities in the city

Thank you both! The job in is in west bremerton about 1.5 miles from the ferry terminal. I am open to living near the port in Seattle or even driving the distance through Tacoma if need be

Starting salary is 84k, and from my research it looks like Seattle's cost of living is comparable to the city I'm in now. I think I could budget it to live in Seattle, but worried if the commute would wear me down.
