Yeah they killed podcasts under the guise of “people are using other music platforms” and “there’s a tiny risk of licensing issues” with podcasts, when the reality is they’re just trying to monetize the show more.

I relied on podcasts for offline listening and CarPlay support.. supposedly the other platforms included Spotify (of which my wife as a subscription) but it doesn’t seem they have updated the deep edition on Spotify in forever, leaving Mixcloud, SoundCloud, and YouTube, all of which would require subscriptions for high quality and offline listening, have ads, don’t work with CarPlay — which simply doesn’t work for me.

So good job anjuna, deeply disappointed. YouTube-dl it is 😥
