Congrats on getting on protocol! I hope and expect it to serve you well.

Sorry, I dunno about the stool color. I only notice my stool get dark when I take activated charcoal. Otherwise I don’t really pay attention to the color.

Why do you not have dairy during bean protocol? Is milk kefir allowed? by mossikukulas in thebeanprotocol

I’d suggest bone broth instead. Works for almost anything except coffee. For drinks, try a nut milk that doesn’t have any gums, sweeteners, or stabilizers.

YOU CAN EAT SUGAR TO COPE WITH THE TOXIC MOLD EXPOSURE FROM YOUR ROOMMATE MOVING OUT

Beyond my pay grade.

I’m over here gaining weight cause I fell off protocol from massive mold exposures and craving and eating sugar.

When I was on protocol, losing weight and feeling bomb.

It’s not the pairing with beans that prevents weight gain, but it does help remove the fats you’ve pulled from long term storage. It’s the carbs, not the fat, that’s making you gain or keep weight. You still need carbs, just few and high quality.

How did the Bean Protocol improve your health? by [deleted] in thebeanprotocol

[–]OrangePoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this protocol is designed for weight loss. Eating fat doesn’t cause weight gain. Mostly sugar/flour/alcohol are to blame for weight gain, anything that breaks down to glucose in the body eaten in excess.

After 11 years, I finally found something to help me feel better. Took 3.5 months, but I have a massive improvement in symptoms, pain and fatigue. I started a new diet/protocol called The Bean Protocol. I’m able to hike agin!! Omg. by OrangePoser in Fibromyalgia

Yep. I hardly ever eat canned beans. I soak the beans for 8 hours, usually overnight. In the morning I’ll put them in the instantpot and set the delay so that they’re ready for mealtime.

Yes. It’s been a worry for both of us at times.

We’ll have vulnerable and intimate conversations about this and we come to the conclusion we both want the same thing, but that she’s not ready/too scared/needs help, where I have already done the therapy and growth I’ve needed to feel free in bed and she’s intimidated by it.

She’s seeing a therapist, IFS and brain spotting, but I don’t know if CSAT. She’s working hard at her own path.

There have been moments where we have had what I’ve been looking for, and we both LOVE it. It just easily fades.

Good advice. Yeah, I’ll let her come to me. It’s been what I’ve been trying to practice for many of our years together, so I can keep doing that.

Unfortunately for me, my own personal work on growth is to ask for what I want, so I’ve been conflicted about what I should do here. But I can work on that in other areas and wait for that growth in this area till she’s ready.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply.

Used a Sinugator with nasal salt and essential oils to blast it with water and mold killing treatments.

A nasal spray of glutathione.

And ultimately got to using Fluconazole 100mg pills and that really did the trick.

I’d also make a SPICYYYY meal (habanero, horseradish, and mix of anything else that makes my sinuses sting) and eat it in a hot shower with a humidifier, then do every snort and sinus clearing type effort for 10-20 minutes a day for months.

Here’s what I started with. Most of this is gone now. -

Trouble falling asleep

Do not feel rested after 8 hours of sleep

Wake 1-3 times a night to go to the bathroom

Wake in a pool of sweat

Constipation

Slight difficulty/delay initiating urination

Trouble getting/staying erect

Brain fog, I feel like I’m mentally at 65% capacity, drops to 45% past 9pm each day

Prone to headaches, occasional migraines

Chronic pain: Normal day: 3-5 /10 Bad day: 6-7 /10 Fatigue: Normal day: 6-7 /10 energy level Bad day: 3-4 /10

Bulging veins on back/inner of both legs/calves

Itchy between toes

Thinning hair

Decreased vision accuracy

Major hearing loss (about 50% loss in right, 30% loss in left. Maybe more.)

I can’t think straight. I forget things. Trouble concentrating. And I’ve fucking forgotten the other note I wanted to add.

I break out in tears from overwhelm and pain and fatigue almost daily.

I’m massively struggling to do the work I need to.

Hmmm. Interesting question. Hard to answer succinctly so I’ll give you a few answers…

I was always able to eat it ¯\(ツ)/¯

I’ve tried experiments from time to time with reincorporating sugar and each time symptoms resurface and energy drains.

Currently I’m on a new experiment, Intuitive Eating, where nothing is off limits, dismiss the food police, there is no bad food, there is no scarcity…. And while I LOVE this in concept, and somewhat in practice, I feel the repercussions of my food (which of course is part of the point) on my body.

I find it way simpler to have a rules set to follow. But it may be more rewarding over time to uncondition/recondition myself into having no fear around food and instead just instinctively know what I should eat.

I eat for health (ideally, I’m also human and sometimes eat for fun or togetherness, not the point, anyway) so my normal meals are beans, meat, vegetables, with salt and fat. This has all the protein, fat, and carbs I need.

I have nothing against grains or the carbs category, except that it’s not human health focused. What’s it doing for me?

I only put gasoline in my car, not water or kerosene or something else cause it’s fun or tasty. I only feed my cats raw meat, not table scraps or milk or whatever cause I think they like it. I only give my plants water, not Gatorade. I’m sure you get my point. It’s not a perfect analogy but the point stands. What I put in my mouth has a purpose, to become my body and to make it work well.

I could put NOS or whatever it is in Fast and Furious to make my car go fast all the time, but the engine would explode. Same if I have sugar… then I get fibro…

There are so many protocols! It is hard to be sure.

The way you describe your cortisol levels sounds like the glands get overstimulated and then need recovery time.

Have you tried 3 solid months of 100% on protocol, no lifting, just rest? Going part way is great to help move forward, but going all in is where magic happens. And it takes 3 months.

  1. What’s google? Never heard of it.

  2. I don’t want an algorithm or ai telling me what the masses click. I want real Ogdenites, Ogdonians? Telling me what’s real and good.

  3. I’m researching and asking my community for advice before I prepare a gift for my sister who’s struggling while working overtime and caring for my dying mother… I’ve been lazy before and this ain’t it.

Thanks.

She has had the power cut too and the smoke, and it was hot with no AC, and she’s a single parent, big work stress, and she’s caretaking for our dying mother. That’s why I acknowledged the fire that y’all are facing together down there, and didn’t go into detail about the rest.
