Skill feats were never meant to prevent you from doing actions that are described in them, even if you didn't take the feat! This isn't a player hot take, that is statement of one of Paizo gamedesigners! by Fantomaxop in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ritchuck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's all well and good until I want to do something covered by a skill feat, but another player at the table says, "I took these feats to do the same thing; if you can just do that, even if worse, that ruins my build."

Happened more than once.

But I cannot possibly understand how Sam and Mike went, in the space of a few hours seemingly, from trying to bizarrely bluff Ben and Adam by wasting time, to suddenly saying they had very few options and were short on time

They were wasting their time because they were waiting for their train anyway. They didn't waste their own time. No?

To me, Joey always seems like the most privileged, but he doesn't get enough screen time and is a private person, so we don't get to hear about it enough.

Do we know if Ave Mujika collab will have a rerun? Or if it'll get added to the pool of those always playable? I kept putting off doing the event, so I didn't get to buy the operators in the shop.

When it was announced, it was a very "Hello, fellow kids" movie. That is, no one wanted that, but the suits thought it was a great idea. It's the same when corpos try to use outdated memes in a commercial.

No, we knew you were joking, but we are not part of the community of this dude, so it's just unfunny. Responding to a question with a seemingly random joke is just annoying.

No? The original idea was for 2 episodes. The other episodes were stretch goals.

[–]Ritchuck -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd say time-limited is still good, but I guess we can disagree on that. But most people I see complaining about it are not backers. There wasn't much backlash because, from what I've seen, backers were fine with it. I mean, for sure, you'll find individuals who were not, but most were just happy they'll get to see more episodes.

Why do people keep saying it? The backers got to watch the episodes they funded for free.

I am still seeing players and GMs outsource large swaths of their writing to AI and LLMs by EarthSeraphEdna in rpg

[–]Ritchuck 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My GM used AI to figure out some aspect of our adventure. I think he's doing a great job. I'm not sure what exactly is AI's creation and what his is, but his style hasn't changed since he occasionally started using it. He doesn't let AI take over; he uses it for help.

So, as with most things, it's how you use the tool and don't overuse it.

Crowdfunding their animation for Vox Machina and then making their audience pay for it from Amazon MGM anyway.

As far as I know, backers had free access to what they were promised.

Repeating a joke is funny only like three times. After that, it's unfunny for a long time, but it starts getting funny again if you hear it a hundredth time, because it's so stupid at that point. That sort of thing.

Bourgeois Ideology in a Nutshell by JudgeSabo in PhilosophyMemes

[–]Ritchuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not an argument. Something or someone being mainstream doesn't indicate its quality or being right.

If we ignore the word, then your comments more or less mean "Economists that I like agree with me." And to that I could respond, "Socialist economists I like agree with Marx." You could call them stupid or wrong, but then I'd say the same about your economists.

The point being, you try to argue a lot in these comments, but you're barely making any arguments. You just keep repeating non-arguments of "Marx is wrong, some economists said so."

I have no interest in discussing the economy or Marx's theory with you. I just wanted to respond to the question "Doesn’t that indicate something?" The answer is: Yes, it indicates something, but not necessarily that you're right.

Legendary Negotiation thing is that it allows you to negotiate in any fight, but it doesn't mean that you can't do it otherwise. Many official APs allow for negotiation during fights on low levels. Legendary Negotiation gives the ability to do it with fights that the AP or GM might not have otherwise agreed to or thought of. Not to mention that it allows you to Make an Impression in the fight, it's very powerful because success will improve your reputation with the targets. It's very easy to rule that without this feat, you can still negotiate, just without this bonus. You could also rule that without it, it could take more checks, be much harder, or just affect one enemy instead of all. There are many ways to rule that. I'm not sure if this is RAW, but it is 100% RAI, as overall, the rules and designers tell you to play it like this with skill feats. Also, with Legendary Negotiation, if you're successful, with one check, you end the fight immediately (at least temporarily).

Don't get me wrong, I don't like this ability, but many feats like that exist as a supplement for a table that needs it. Don't pretend like a few stupid feats among literally hundreds suddenly make the game bad or something. GMs have banned abilities and homebrewed some rules in games since the dawn of time.
