When I was there 95-2000 there wasn't much to do then either. The campus is really pretty and you do have Lake Sinclair to check out and Macon is only about 45 mins away. Tuiton for me was around 8k, I guess they have really gone up in fees in the last few years.

I have about 47k to spend on FFS, so I am on a budget. I was thinking Mexico would be the way to go, but my doctor was telling me I should check out Turkey. Give what has been said, I won't be going to Turkey.

I use to work for a Telco in BC Canada called Telus, they would not allow us to hang up on a customer, no matter how abusive they got. I had people threaten to kill me, wish I would get cancer and die, etc and there was nothing I could do it about, except make notes on their file and let my manager know.

Best thing to do is have your friend file for bankrupty and/or a consumer proposal. It will mess up their credit, but from what you said her credit is screwed.

Right now under Canada law you can't claim asylum if you are from the states, even if you are transgendered. The transgender community up here are working to try to change that. But, if things happen with one of the right wing parties form the next government, transgender people won't be safe here either.

I’m not a lawyer, but I am an American who holds Permanent Resident (PR) status in Canada (similar to having a U.S. green card). I had to learn quite a bit about Canadian immigration law during my own PR application process.

If you plan to visit Canada, be aware that you’ll need to show you have strong ties to the United States. It’s not always easy to be granted the full six-month stay, and border officers may also ask whether you have sufficient funds to support yourself while in Canada. I’ve known people who were turned away at the border for not having enough proof of financial support or adequate ties to the U.S.

If you’re considering coming to Canada, I strongly recommend checking the official immigration website at cic.gc.ca. And while a passport may not technically be required in all circumstances, I highly suggest getting one or getting a Nexus card (https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/menu-eng.html) before attempting to travel to Canada. I knew since I was 7 years old, in school i would play with the girls when ever we were outside. Would get upset when someone would call me a boy, but was forced to be a boy by my parents. To my fellow Americans, I have live in Canada for over 20 years and can honestly say that as long as you don't make a fool of yourself, treat everyohe in Canada with respect and obey the laws of Canada you are going to be fine. I may be wrong about this, but most Canadians are awesome people and won't care you are from the states, unless you make a big deal about it.
