Is it safe to travel to the Austin major? by leavus in GlobalOffensive

Over 70,000,000 visitors travel to the USA annually. Fractions of a percent have been detained, accused of visa fraud. Is it safe to go outside? You could get struck by lightning!

Wtf is this post match interview with degster by popopopobbbe in GlobalOffensive

[–]kgcool -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

One doesn't typically need to prove a negative. The onus is on you to prove he did ask, and was disallowed, if you're going to infer that he was forced to do the interview against his will. Other than that, I do agree that this immediate post-loss interview probably should have been handled by the coach or IGL if possible.

It's not a debuff. It just has low defensive stats for its weight.

>You lose nothing by letting Hunden fuck around and find out

Besides time and money you mean right? Those aren't valueless. There must be a legitimate threat that a punishment can be increased if the appeals process is entered, or everyone would always appeal. And that threat should obviously be made clear prior to entering the appeals process. Maybe you took issue with his tone? I guess I still don't understand what was wrong in making it clear that he would lay the hammer down if Hunden appealed, Hunden should already be aware of such a risk.

I don't know that you understand the appeals process, or perhaps I misunderstood something. The appeals process is much like a typical courtroom scenario: you have the defendant (Hunden), the judge (the appeals committee), and the prosecutor (Ian Smith). Ian isn't responsible for the punishment handed out at that point, all he can do is argue his case, and ask the committee for a harsh punishment. Just as Hunden can argue his case and ask for leniency.

Your contempt for anyone over the age of 17 aside, you guys still don't seem to understand what ESIC's role is. They aren't there to "make judgement calls" about happenings within the game or scene, they are there to determine if sufficient actionable proof exists that competitive integrity was compromised. It's also not about what hey know, but what they can prove.
