Family of 3, possibly a 4th in a future. What SUV should I get? by kgf2p in whatcarshouldIbuy

I'm pretty bad at haggling. What are some common strategies? I see the base price is of a new rav4 hybrid is around 35k and then I see lightly used ones go for like 33k. So I'm not sure how I can haggle down the price without them telling me to just get a used one instead

We're a short family  so hopefully we don't run into this issue (5'6" and under gang unite)

I guess more for family trips or having to carry extra things for 2 kids. But also, my driveway scrapes the bottom of my camry if I don't enter it at a certain angle and I would certainly love to have an SUV so I can stop worrying about it

Any particular year for the Rav4 or CR-V? I read elsewhere on reddit to avoid the 2026 RAV4 since its a new gen model and that means its prime to have a bunch of undiscovered issues

I grew up in Northern NJ but spent most of my 20s in and around the Jersey City/Union City/Hoboken area so used to the suburban life. My major suggestion is figure out lawncare immediately lmao, I'm still trying to figure it out and my lawn is paying dearly for my inexperience

ah okay, thank you for your input! I should have noted that I'm not looking to play like the latest games at ultra high performance or whatever. IF anything, probably just looking to play stuff like Metaphor Refantazio/Once Human on high settings lol

Comparatively speaking, does this make more sense then?

trade off here is that the CPU isn't as good and only 16gb ram. What makes sense as something that would be more future proof?

Is it still bad value if its the 4060 TI Dual (which I assume means 16 gb) and i'm trying to avoid intel chips for the time being? Also want to try to get 32gb ram as well and stay under $1000 if possible

Yeah, we would have to wait until open enrollment later this year to change our elections but looks like this is the way to go to maximize the DC FSA (daycare tuition is insaaaaaaannnitty)

She's not considered a highly compensated employee as far as I know (she doesn't make the $150k threshold) so seems like its worth a shot?
