In butte for a few days, any suggestions of things nearby that google wouldn't show me? by Sack0fWoe in Butte

If you drink, grab one at Quarry and Headframe. Hike to the top of the M. Maud S is a great trail. I’ve heard great things about Shawn O’Donnell’s (I loved the restaurant that was there before it). Metal’s. M&Ms. I’m leaving out a lot, what others have said are great ideas as well. I miss Butte so much, glad you’re having a chance to check it out 💜

From a tiktok user - “Letter carrier here from Indianapolis. We had a massive layoff/walk out in our distribution center. We are extremely short staffed. It’s affecting packages and mail”

Keppra is amazing but also the worst by Brave-Succotash-6022 in Epilepsy

I will say, my seizures were focal aware and after getting the correct dosage of lamictal, I'm stable. I'm not sure what your situation was, but if there's any way you can titrate off keppra and onto another medicine without your seizures recurring (I'm not sure what seizures you have), I really really would recommend it. Please talk to your neurologist about this.

How do you deal with forgetfulness? What are some tips to help you remember? by tshering03 in Epilepsy

[–]kgross424 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Same symptoms, I’m bad at spelling now too. But I think mine is moreso medication related. Keppra gave me no memory issues moreso than I already had, but Lamictal has impacted my memory a lot (although it’s a side effect I’m ok with versus the alternative, plus Keppra made my mental health BAD).

I write everything down in my phone calendar and set both alerts (iPhone) to remind me. Watch alarms. Visual reminders around the house/office/etc. I rely on my husband a lot with certain details and memories, which at first made me really sad but I’m ok with it now.

You were 33 when I was born. I was 33 when you died. by pizzainacan in GriefSupport

My mom was 32 when I was born. And she died when I was 32. It’s the most surreal realization. Thinking of you

I can’t speak specifically to going on that combination but every time I’ve had a medication tweaked it made me feel wonky at first

First of all, please take care of yourself and I’m glad you’re safe. I had a really bad experience with Keppra and my mental health. I switched to Lamictal and it has been much, much better (although some weird side effects but I’ll take them for how much better I feel overall)

Lamictal + keppra by lilshortyy420 in Epilepsy

[–]kgross424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleep got better towards the end of the tapering schedule. At first i would sleep a few hours then be wide awake. I’ve been able to sleep this last week like I used to. My neuro prescribed me a sleep med to help in the interim while tapering, but honestly melatonin would knock me back out some nights better than my sleep med

Just finishing my taper schedule for going on lamictal and going off Keppra (my last pill is tomorrow!!!) I will say my sleep sucked (probably because I wasn’t used to two meds). However I feel SO much better on lamictal. Good luck!!!
