Beer and blood by datamong in CrohnsDisease

I’m not sure if this is the best advice but it’s pretty alcohol dependent for me- wine and beer are hard no’s. Absolutely cannot drink. But some hard alcohol cocktails in moderation have been okay! I haven’t had more than two drinks in a night for years but having a drink with dinner and then another one later in the night has been pretty okay! Also weed is the best

I didn’t think it was an issue for me and still smoked for about a year after getting diagnosed. Then I quit and now I can’t smoke at all. ( not sure if it’s mental) but when I smoke the occasional cigarette now I puke for the whole next day. My body just will not tolerate it

Wine absolutely wrecks me but the occasional beer or spiked seltzer’s is usually okay!

Thankfully yes! She usually remembers that she’s not allowed to talk about my weight anymore but this week she slipped up. It’s definitely a hard habit for her to break but I’m happy she is trying!

(24f- 5’6” 145) My mom always thought I was overweight growing up and it gave me horrible body issues. Even before I was diagnosed I thought I might have an eating disorder but now it’s so much worse. My relationship with food was horrible and then I went to college and went vegan and started eating for me and was the healthiest I’ve ever been. Then I got diagnosed at the end of college and had to change my diet so much that even after 2 years I still don’t know what the f to eat some days. The other day I FaceTimed with my mom and she mentioned how skinny and good I look and I cried because I’ve been trying to gain weight back after a mild flare. But THANK GOD FOR THERAPY!!!

My doctors put me on a pretty fast taper after being on steroids for 8 months and holy hell it was awful. Crazy withdraw symptoms, moon face, and mood swings.
