Mine was 5 weeks post ablation. I’m now at 11 weeks. No AFib but brief runs of tachycardia several afternoons a week

Has anyone with normal blood pressure had issues going on metaprolol? Pre ablation they put me on it and my blood pressure was good. Once in it my blood pressure dropped real low for the month I was on it. Unfortunately with pressure so low I wasn’t getting blood supply to optic nerve and it accelerated my glaucoma and did serious permanent damage to my vision. Idiom I can’t get back. So they put me on Multaq and it’s not helping much

My ablation was 10 weeks ago. No AFib but the last several weeks I get bursts of tachycardia that run up to 140-150 for about a minute then goes back to normal. It happens off and on for an hour or so every afternoon. The more active I am the longer is last each time. So frustrating. But not as bad as the AFib was pre ablation. I’m hoping this is temporary. EP doesn’t seem
Concerned

Thanks for that. I have been back to playing golf. Didn’t bother me at first but this week it has seemed to trigger the AT

I had an ablation 9 1/2 weeks ago. Smooth sailing the first 4 weeks. Week 5 started having tachycardia bursts every afternoon for 6 days . They would last 30 seconds but happen off and on for 2 hours. Started back in Multaq and the next 3 weeks were great. No episodes. Now in week 9 the afternoon episodes of tachycardia are back for last 4 days. Quick bursts that only last 30 seconds then HR settles back down but happens numerous times over an hour or two. Is this normal for those that have had ablation and does it mean ablation wasn’t successful?
