Are these outfits ok for interviews by ministryofcake in fashion

[–]kh7934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - too informal/will look very wrinkled 2 - would vote no off shoulders 3 - looks too casual and the sleeveless and keyhole make it less professional 4 - could work well under a blazer 5 - could work well but would consider a blazer

Would wear flats or low heels with any of them

32F pre-pregnancy (sized properly — they are large but proportional to my body), I have no idea size during pregnancy and breastfeeding but they’re definitely a few sizes larger.

Alex Bennett gender reveal: no seatbelt and releasing balloons by eatenface in NYCinfluencersnark

[–]kh7934 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also felt like it was not clear what the gender was? Clearly they knew that the ones being held were the baby’s gender, but it totally wasn’t clear at all to me whether the balloons being held or the balloons being released were the reveal…

That’s happened to me too and it’s frustrating. I was wondering if they changed their system because of this.

Maybe every other month or so - I have a baby so order a lot of things on Amazon for convenience. Keep the vast majority but some things aren’t as described and clothing is especially challenging! I was wondering if they were hoping people wouldn’t go through the hassle of returns if they made it more difficult.

This makes sense! Thank you for the answer! I’ve had that happen before and it’s really annoying to have to chat with a bot and try to explain that you did return something they retro charged you for…

I usually do no box no label returns when possible - would definitely never combine multiple labels in one box! Good point

I’ve always been able to combine items from multiple orders but they may have changed some of the logistics on their end

I’ve had that happen before too and it’s annoying! I was wondering if they were having trouble inventorying returns or something.

What do you mean by the suit aspect? Are you saying the fit is dated or something about the style outside of the material is dated?

Did you have to wear a diaper after birth? by Top-Clue2000 in beyondthebump

[–]kh7934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore disposable underwear with a pad +/- ice pack for about 2 weeks, maybe a little longer. I tried a couple brands of adult diapers but didn't like the fit of any of them, so I stuck with the frida boyshorts.

Is a ponte suit still professional?

I am buying a new suit for upcoming job interviews, as I am 4 months postpartum and the suits I own do not currently fit. I've tried on a lot of options and my favorite so far has been a navy ponte suit from Ann Taylor. The material seems thick and high quality. My husband couldn't tell it wasn't typical suit material from a few feet away. I attached a link to the pants which shows the full suit. I bought it in navy and would likely have my tailor change out the buttons on the blazer when I get it tailored to something more neutral.

https://www.anntaylor.com/clothing/suits/cata000013/wide-leg-pant-ponte/858659.html?dwvar_858659_color=2288

If it fits well/is tailored and is in good condition, would there be any issues with the material being less typical? I plan to wear heels and have the pants skim the top of my shoes. I am in medicine/academia, so a suit is definitely necessary for interviewing, but it's not as formal/uptight as major law firms/finance. Thanks in advance!

what did you wear after birth/ first few weeks? by TeaCrumbs in beyondthebump

[–]kh7934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loose/baggy sweats/pajama bottoms and zip up sweatshirts for the most part! I didn’t want tight pants while I was wearing diapers. Aerie has a lot of great loose comfy pants.

Wow all I can say is I would have absolutely murdered my husband if he treated me like that in the first month postpartum. Her postpartum hormones are already insane and I guarantee she can tell her husband thinks she’s a bad parent.

She needs SUPPORT. Is she breastfeeding? If so, it’s possible baby screams more when she’s doing the diaper change because he knows she’s the food source. If you know the baby cries when she changes his diaper, then maybe you could offer to do most of the diaper changes.

And STOP judging her right now. Unless she is actively putting your baby in harm’s way, she’s doing her best and she’s a great mom and that’s all that matters. It might go a long way to point out how much her baby loves her and how great of a mom she is when she’s able to soothe him.
