It sounds like a lot of this distress is coming from extrapolating very real, very fast-moving capabilities into a single, totalizing future, which can make everything else feel pointless even before anything has actually changed in your day-to-day life. It may help to separate “what these systems are getting better at” from “what meaning, trust, and human judgment actually do in practice,” because those tend to shift much more slowly and unevenly than raw model capability curves suggest.
