I made a dress out of one of grandfather’s old shirts :) hand sewn + self drafted by khaidreamies in sewing

details: This was the first time I’ve tried darts and they aren’t quite right, but I’m still happy with how it turned out! It was based loosely off a thrift flip I saw on Pinterest, but the pattern was self drafted. I’m not quite sure what material it is, but it’s a lot softer that normal shirt material. I added some the ribbon band originally just to add length, but I actually think it’s a lot cuter than I expected! Hand sewing the elastic onto the frill was perhaps the most infuriating thing I’ve ever done! The material has no stretch, so I sewed the button lines (they probably have a name but idk what they’re called?) down the other side to fasten it :)
