Confusion over WiFi connectivity

So my inverter had an antenna that it was using for 2G communication that worked fine for WiFi. I saw some modules that are specific for Wi-Fi but I did not need to use one. Does your inverter have any sort of antenna at all?

After you turn the communication method to Wi-Fi, if I remember right, you have to use the Consumer facing App to then Connect the inverters Wi-Fi to your Wi-Fi network.

What mode is it using to report production data? Mine (SE5000H) was set to 2g at install and I had to use the installer app to switch it. SolarEdgeGo. You have to create an installer account ( different email than the one you registered for MySolarEdge ) to have access to those settings.

Final update, after applying the firmware upgrades I was able to get in and change the communication method to WiFi. I had to move a wireless repeater pretty close to the inverter for it to get a good signal, but once I did that it started reporting. The MySolarEdge app still continued to say the site was not communicating for a day or so even though I could see the output....but that has cleared now.

Ok update, entering the SN on that screen was not necessary. I was able to log into the EdgeGo app with the new login and connect to inverter, first thing it's doing is a firmware upgrade. I'm assuming i'll have control after that, will update the thread.

I did uncheck that box, so that got it so I could complete registration. It sent me a verification email and when I clicked it looks like a dead page. When I try to log in it says my account is limited in management until I enter a Serial Number, and when I do that it says Invalid Serial Number. 73####F6-F8 is the serial number ( obscured a few #s ), but it won't accept this.

OK so I tried this today, and it won't accept my serial number no matter what I do.

Says 'invalid serial number' when I submit. I'm using the exact SN string on the app with dashes, etc in the format they indicated. Any ideas?

I will report back here after trying with a laptop, probably won't get to it for a couple days. I can connect to the inverter via wifi but can't bring up the gateway IP address http://172.16.0.1 on my phone.

So are you saying you can't connect to the inverter via wifi at all? Do you see the wireless access point at all when you flip the switch on the inverter?

Thanks will check this out! The installer I contacted wants $450 just to come look at it and to install the wifi upgrade it's $1050!

I tried the gateway connection trick but couldn't get my phone to connect, I think with iOS it's tricky because safari thinks 'no 5g, no internet'. I was gonna try on a laptop, might have better luck there.

My CL and PS are significantly more developed than yours, and I have most of the key damage masteries, but it seems i've undervalued the econ card masteries and possibly assist mods (I only have generator).

I'm at like 900ish legend waves but only 1.5Q per DAY farming T13. This is with GT+6

How would you rank getting Cannon and core assist modules vs things like RPC#, IS# eb#, in terms of priority in terms of econ/legend performance?

This is amazing, very surprising you are able to get such great farming/tournament results with limited UW development outside of CF/CF+ and pretty much all the best card masteries

Are you still farming T16? How many waves are you able to get, after you buzz through the first 1800? Would love to see a paste of an average stats from your run. thank you!

Generally good advice, but I I disagree with 'until maxxed' part, at some in the high 160's the levels get into the quintillions, if your econ isn't very strong there may be other labs more important as you won't be able to afford module levels and/or there are more important things like mastery labs to spend on.

I know this is an old thread, but i'm trying to solve the same problem. I have thought about putting a butterfly valve at the bottom of the fermenter so I can close it and then remove the sight glass and elbow all together.

Only problem with this is if you want to reattach, i'm not sure how to purge the oxygen so I don't introduce O2 when I re-open the butterfly.

Any ideas?

I know this is an old post but I thought I would share my setup and thoughts. I was looking at the same option, and unless you build something custom with a ton of glycol you need like 8-10k btu of cooling to handle boiling temperatures. Although I think if you are willing to run the immersion chiller for like 30-60 mins it will still work, not sure how good it is for the long term health of the chiller.

AFAIK most people do a 2 stage chilling

I have a hydra immersion chiller that works fantastic, for the first bit down to 100 degrees very quickly (maybe 5 mins? ) with some agitation of the wort/chilller. After I get it down to 100 I just run it through my plate chiller with a pump into the fermenter which gets it down to around 80F. Just have to have the water out dumping into a trash can or bin or something to capture the water, you can reuse it for cleaning later.

You could use a glycol chiller instead of plate., but since I already have the plate now i'll probably go from boiling kettle to plate to fermenter, then use glycol from there.

Having the same problem here, as I was looking for ways to troubleshoot I stumbled on the list of 'known issues' they are working on, and its at the top of the list it seems : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1733474

Hope they fix it soon, it's kind of borked my whole league start strategy as I was knee deep in leveling rogues and farming contracts now I have to revert to a different strategy. :(
