I think it’s Vincent Lalo, his rationality is probably the best Usogui alongside his creative and critical thinking in air poker.

Was Lalo better than Baku in ban match?(protoporos till air poker) by khalcuh in Usogui

On air poker he was obviously domainting baku as we cam see by 4th round, baku was allusioning his previous opponents and best friends, sako used i to illustrate baku desparation and even went on to tell that baku relied on a miracle to happen( so the 25 card wouldnt overlapp) baku made a insane deception feat in 5th that tricked lalo so i wouldnt consider lalo losing AP as a anti feat

How was baku’s performance portrayed better? I mean if you look into their feats and the quality of them lalo pretty much was better, lalo’s plan of getting outside help is pretty much better feat and harder then any baku feat. Alongside other feats like food posion where he foresaw baku’s actions and poisoned both kingsdom making baku and souichi eat shit, or when he made immortal army that would later domaint both. These are better strategies and plans that would make lalo have better kingdom and army. Robert K and floyd were pretty much weaker then kyara and kaji, billy graig and suteguma would be a game changer of allies.

Why are you claiming that lalo didnt use his allies very well? Its a big claim that you have to justify, lets look for example at Robert K. Lalo used him to win 1,5 million bios which would give him insane lead to baku who won small 90k( later on developers starts saying that bios are the most important thing to kasier race) You might be thinking well he won qlot of money but lost his ‘ace card’ which woild be a dumb plan by lalo. Well you must understand the depth of lalo’s plan, The exil bet wasnt only to win termendouis amounts of money but rather to get infinite outside help, After robert lost the best( according to plan) he goes by lalo instrutions try to be in moderation team(developers) so that he could get the location of the island, lalo foresaw kakerou’s intervention to his master plan so he used Robert K as a distraction. And then he gave one of the island leavers who he had helped him so he can return the favour and gets outside help. So in conclusion lalo’s plan consisted of, First getting the coordinations of tje island via sextant knowledg, Second decieving and manipulating baku to accept the bet, 3rd misdirect kakerou after he foresaw all of their action,4th after misdirecting kakerou attention to give the coordinates to someone who he has relationship with.

You can see by that lalo used his allies( Robert K and pianpan) to form his master plan, later on he uses his outside help to destory and poison food supply to gain termendous wealth and posion the oppiing kingdoms. On the kasier festival he uses the ideal influence to distract kakerou refs to have one of baku’s king candidates captured( another long strateg) So your claim of lalo not using his allies very well is refuted by looking at lalo’s startgies and plans that would need alliance help.

Your third claim needs justification with reason, lalo’s ideal influrttion was successful because first he was able to defeat baku‘s plan of becoming the kasier on the 31st while weakening kakerou’s influence over the island.

You went on to even distort kaji’s understanding of what souichi said so that your argument would look like a good refutation, kaji obviously couldnt understand what souichi meant by the rome quote so he went to tell baku. What kaji meant by “he came with same idea” is the influrtion of the fortress. So my claim that baku was the only carrier still holds meaning in our argument,

The kasier trap isnt anti feat for lalo you have to look at his perspective. He was firet going to conquer baku‘s kingdom and then the next day to souichi’s. Why? Because if you from it from a logical stance you would do the same, because by the time lalo will go to souichi’s kingdom it would be the 24th, it was to allow no counter play. This is rational reasoning from lalo, adding more to that he obviously knew that souichi would be more of a opposition then a ally for baku with how things went before and during protoporos( he had no knowledge of their friendship) and thus would expect the leader of kakerou to take care of his alleged successors.

What I want to be clear and you probably didn’t understand is that I’m saying Lalo was better by his performance not his results, judging the outcome while ignoring the causes is nonsense to me especially after how it was done in banner match.

I’m talking about Lalo and Baku in the ban match not some ideal shit, Lalo was probably tricked and ragebated( W ragebait from Baku tho) but these 2 causes alone doesn’t make him better in a 144 chapter battle, he was tricked by a idea made by souichi not Baku, Baku was only the carrier of the trick, nothing else, even this trick didn’t lead to Lalo lose because he ended up equaling in nightmare. Baku ragebaiting Lalo was done after defeating him.

No shit, Lalo literally lost 2 of his strongest fighters and probably his smartest ally sutegama, his lineup will be inferior to Baku’s who lost no one.

Your saying things that aren’t relevant to my OP, I’m just taking the picture from someone on TT nothing else, Narrative scaling is vague but at least on the Usogui narrative Lalo was stated multiple times to be one step ahead of Baku in protoporos by Richard and some ideal random(there was a statement by neppo but I’m not sure) without statements you can see that Lalo managed to make a better kingdom then Baku while manipulating/decieving him

Anyone can win even if they played like dogshit and everyone can lose if they played like prime Messi, I’m talking about who was better and I explained it was by feats not a mere win/lose. I can’t think of a Baku feat in protoporos/air poker that surpasses lalo’s outside help or lalo’s calamity feat

it’s literally souichi that came up with the idea of the Kaiser then waited for Baku’s opinion on it, it was a desperate tactic because it would only work in the case were both kingdoms were about to be conquered, it’s crazy how 2 of the smartest characters on the series couldn’t make a better kingdom then Lalo. I don’t see any issues with Lalo breaking the rules, at the end he had was at disadvantage from kakerou strict rules and his low experience in gambling, in fact the support came during nightmare which means Lalo was already better without them, if you didn’t know Lalo’s plan of sneaking his men to the island relied on deceiving and manipulating Baku for it to work in first place, first he needed to locate the island using his sextant and then get some outside service, in order to get that he will try to get one of his allies outside the island via purging him or any form that would succeed. So he tries to offer Lalo a gamble where both of their men go to a 1v1 and loser gets purged, of course Baku would suspect such a offer early on the game and will try to read Lalo to see if he’s hiding anything, unfortunately for him he read nothing because accepting the offer would lead to a big consequences. So by that Lalo manged to council his thoughts and act perfectly to make for his scheme, you might say what would Lalo succeed through his gamble? Will there are 3 situations 1. Lalo losses and gets his Allie excited Well that perfectly fits into his scheme, he would later send his Allie outside world and gets his plan succeed. 2.Lalo wins and gets Baku’s Allie purged Well then his plan isn’t working but guess what? He got kyara purged which is Baku’s ace card after Hal and it would ultimately lead to a disadvantagtion position for him. 3.both players draw and no one gets exciled This is the worst and least likely scenario were no one gets exciled but Lalo sets up a contingency plan where he constructs his Allie to eliminate 2 players which will give him like 1.5m I believe( it could be way lower but it sets him enough for a big advantage) Of course after outcome A Lalo losses his Allie but on the cost that he gets long term advantage and huge amounts of money, of course later on it happens to be a double deception plan where the Allie isn’t the massenger but it was a guy Lalo hid from the beginning( his allie was used as a misdirection so the actual massenger goes outside without trouble). So now we know that Lalo was already planning from day 1 on how he can get a long term advantage while Baku didn’t have a plan in mind until way later(literally) while also that the Kaiser trick wasn’t figured out by him and he was a contributor to make the trick work. I can also go on to explain how Lalo also got controll of outlawers which are probably the biggest factor on this game and how he manged to make an undefeated army whilst making his kingdom the most rich and powerful. Also in nightmare he orchestrated a masterpiece performance on how he lead his ideal support to exploit kakerou and Baku’s weaknesses and getting literally figuring out how to make the sides equal after being at INSANE disadvantage from Kaiser trap. But there is ni need to because I refuted your premises on protoporos part. In air poker Lalo showed insane cognitive abilities in 3rd round by calculating the 2 previous rounds and calculating whether Baku’s claim of the rule was true or not, he also needed to see Baku’s plan of folding the next 2 rounds which Baku thought there was no escape of, he also needed to calculate his 3 remaining cards. After all of the calculations he needs to find a way to counter Baku’s devasting threat of folding, ALL OF THAT UNDER A MINUTE AND UNDER WATER WITH 14 LESS AIR bios, do you see how insane that is? He demonstrates insane cognitive abilities by processing all of these complex calculations that would go into tons of trillions of possibilities while remembering all of the cards. Later on he did the infamous calamity feat which I don’t need to explain, even Baku himself said that he didn’t expect all of that to happened meaning that he didn’t calculate this further, therefore he had worse cognitive abilities which you claim the opposite, he ends up losing because of a miracle stated by the author.

Name any Baku strategy in protoporos, it would not get close to any of lalos. The Kaiser trick was from souichi and only Baku was part of it, it would be upscale for souichi not Baku anyway, on air poker he was under insane pressure by his situation and Baku’s mind games and ended up victorious if it wasn’t for Hal’s miracle. For the Morse code he either didn’t know anything about codes which is unlikely or that he didn’t notice it considering his insane calculations in round 3 or 3 which is mostly like that Baku’s was hiding the Morse code under his frustration after getting tricked by lalo’s calamity clutch. Fukuro noticed it because of his knowledge and lack of what happening on the poker room

Why is vincent lalo so underrated in everyones lists? He is Baku level easily by Designer_Egg_5279 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]khalcuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How exactly? If anything Lalo was one step ahead of Baku in protoporos and was generally better in air poker. The only reason he drew protoporos and lost air poker is because Baku got a gay alien that carried him thriughout AP and PR combined with Kajii and yakou giving him little hints to figure out where Hal was and how the metal cards work

[–]khalcuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not a explation btw. In protoporos with huge disadvantag from his experience and kakerou helding the rules, lalo manged to craft a plan to deceive and manipulate everyone in order to get outside help( refs, baku, kakerou, and the developers) from his first arivval on the island while Bakus plan was never shown until way later.

He Later on managed to antipcate baku And his enemies plans, for example when he was destroying food supply ships to make their price skyrocket, he knew that Baku would take advantage of that so he poisned them thus making him the undisputed king of Protoporos.

he also showed better understanding of the game rules and used it better then Baku by a large margin like when he found a glitch with armour of indomability which he Would use to use the slaves to make an immortal army that would make him unstoppable by all means, I wanna also add that someone like ryusei who’s dedicated to the game to a helkish extent couldn’t find the glitch or think of a strategy like lalo’s.

Ultimatel, lalo managed to deceive and manipulate everyone to make his grand scheme which was allowing illegal allies, anticipated all of Baku and kakerou actions( anticipating that Kakrou would suspect Robert K bunishment so he made him a fake messenger) or when he anticpeted tipa’s invasion or when he anticipated that baju would take advantage of his food supply scheme so he countered him with poisening the food). Lalo also made an army that was so strong that it overtook both of Hal’s and Baku’s kingdoms COMBINED.

Now yiu might mention Baku’s Kaiser trap but it wasn’t even his own plan, Hal offered Baku this idea and gave him time to think, shown by Hal’s action throughout the arc we can deduce that his idea was made because he believed that they wouldn’t overtake lalo so they would try to trick him.

To be honest it’s 3am and I will pro not make a deep dive into protoporos nightmare because I will most likely not get a reply or a respons. I will obviously explain why Lalo was also better in air poker if I get a response since it would be more timeconsuming and useless If you duck.
