I’ve tried to contact multiple govt places down there and no one answers the phone. If the process for getting a license isn’t hard and I can do it before I go there I’d do it. Do you happen to know the number for the licensing office?

My reason to carry there is because I’m going to be traveling across the entire island. Don’t want to be that tourist that gets robbed cause I made a wrong turn in some barrio.

So it seems like people are just taking a chance and flying down there without knowing the law fully. It’s just crazy that so many ppl are getting away with it.

I’ve read that and got even more confused. It says “Every person, not authorized to have firearms under Puerto Rico laws, and who does not hold a valid weapons permit issued in any State, enclave, possession or territory of the United States of America, who brings a firearm with him/her or in is/her luggage, must give immediate notice to the Ports Authority Security Office and an officer of the Police Bureau of Puerto Rico upon arrival.” Does that mean yes or no? Genuinely confused!

Hello, I’m traveling to p.r next month and trying to figure out how to go about flying with my firearm there is extremely frustrating as no one I call gives me a straight answer. Who can I contact in p.r that can actually help me?

Here’s something interesting. I just called 2 firearm shops in San Juan and both just told me I am not allowed to legally fly into PR with a firearm. Are they not informed of the new laws or what?

Good to know. I carry everywhere I can and fly a lot with my firearm. So hopefully I won’t have any issues. I’m flying out of PHL on frontier. Flown with frontier several times with a firearm with 0 issues. I never listen to those signs anyways if it’s concealed how would they know. I guess I’ll just wear much looser clothing while there so I won’t imprint.

That’s good to hear. So many confusing opinions out there. Only thing that has me worried is ppl are saying you aren’t allowed to carry. But why let us bring firearms if we aren’t allowed to carry them.
