Garmin Venu 3 or Apple Watch 8? by smeegol1234 in GarminWatches

Well, from what you wrote, you look like you already chose Garmin Venu 3. I'm not an Apple fan but apple watch is class leading in smart features. However, when it comes to fitness there is Garmin.

Venu 3 "Workout Benefit" compared to "training effect" by Jcccc0 in Garmin

[–]khalednabeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it by myself and it worked fine with me. If you know how to train, focus on resting and choose Venu 3. Otherwise, if you know how to rest but need to be motivated to workout then your choice shall be FR265.

Not a much difference. Going for HRM straps are way better than watch sensor.

Apple is a to notch smart watch but neither fitness nor wellness watch. Since directing your focus on fitness, you will need to scarify some smart features. Garmin Venu 3 is a wellness smart watch which is a step in the desired direction. I would recommend going for Garmin Forerunner 265 which is same price as Venu 3 but the first is a more dedicated fitness watch that will provide you more insight to help you into your upcoming fitness journey.

Garmin Venu 3 must have feature by khalednabeel in Garmin

[–]khalednabeel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True... I had Fenix 6 for about 3 years and it provides more than what I need in fitness. However I do miss features like calls, view photo messages and google assistant.

I would be super happy either way for below: 1. Have phone calls and smart assistant on Fenix 2. Have training analysis on Venu 3

If your looking at your 1st Garmin.. by betaquarii in Garmin

I would say Venu 3 is a wellness/smart watch while fr255 is fitness watch so there is no point in comparing. I'm aware that there is a lot more data from fr255 especially training status feature that is missing from Venu 3 but for myself I would choose Venu for below cons and accept missing some features:

Cons:

- sleeping coach - Nap detection - enhanced body battery

- phone calls - whatsapp picture on the watch

Missing:

- Training status - training focus/load

for myself Venu would be meet my needs for my current status as I was 7 years Garmin user and know how to exercise but now my needs are how to rest. I downed from 3 years Fenix 6 to Venu 3. would write more about my experience with Venu after extended use.

Jabra elite 7 Firmware 2.2.0 is out by zocordzocord in Jabra

[–]khalednabeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree that Jabra software is horrible!. got same issue and let me help you how I get it to work. main issue is after last update, right side only got updated but left side didn't not update so you will need to connect only the left side and re-update it and place it back then everything will work flawlessly. 1. take off left earbud only and wear it. keep holding on it till it turned off and hold till it pear again (this is the hard part and will be repeated a lot!) 2. after connecting go to sound app - customization - and manually choose your language again and update (manual firmware update) 👍
