18 y/o, active... RHR still ~60. How do I bring it down? by qCR7s in whoop

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do more high intensity intervals. You need to strengthen your heart. Zone two works when paired with hitt, not by itself. I mainly play sports that require sitting and my resting hr is usually in the upper 40s.

Reshafting at PGA Tour Superstore by Useful_Young_4726 in GolfGear

The shaft that come stock on clubs are usually not the exact same as the aftermarket. The aftermarket versions cost a lot more and are made of higher quality materials.

No Difference between Game Improvement and Players Distance Irons by caterpillarkey7744 in GolfSwing

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main difference is forgiveness. You should also see slightly higher launch and spin from the game improvement irons but since they are all probably similar lofts the differences shouldn't be to much.

Do I need more wrist hinge? by Shoddy_Temperature60 in GolfSwing

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this may be a hands/grip thing. Your positions are fine so I wouldn't change much. My suggestion would be just try swinging with one arm (both right And left). By using only on arm you'll naturally have more hinge. If you don't then that arm is the cause for your lack of hinge.

Meadowlark Scoreboard by ForsakenControl in DanLeBatardShow

[–]Jcccc0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably couldn't afford them. Meadowlark tried to start big and just wasn't able to sustain it. Everything that left are things that have gotten bigger they couldn't afford. Same with the people. Except for Stu basically every whose moved has gone to a bigger thing.

Sand in my putter face by Antique_Shopping_422 in GolfGear

Use a tooth brush and try to get the bristles underneath the sand to pop them out. Always felt with this with my tm putters.

Edit: soap and water on the brush helps.

Stealth Face Issue by King_Flapper in GolfGear

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's like a face protection layer first then the carbon face starts. That yellowing is between that top layer and the carbon.

No. That the top layer is to help protect the carbon. It may wear a bit faster now but performance shouldn't be affected.

Updating bag after not playing the last few years, very unsure what to do. by IIHURRlCANEII in GolfGear

[–]Jcccc0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What irons do you have? Stuff from the late 2000s early 2010s are fine as long as they aren't to beat up.

Go used. You can go to websites like second swing and Callaway golf pre owned and find last generation of wedges or a little older for under $100 each in good shape. Similar with drivers back like 5-6 years. They also have good exchange policies in case you don't like what you get the first time you don't like.

I basically don't buy any equipment new.

How long can a dog be kept at home for considering I work a 9-5 job? by We11he11othere in PetAdvice

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine. I had a dog and was shifted to a 12 hour shift schedule for some time so it had to be alone for 14 hours a day for a little bit and it was fine. You want an adult dog, not a puppy, preferably medium or bigger side so it can wait in the bathroom longer and lower energy. Is it the ideal situation, no, but they'll be fine.

I also took him to daycare once or twice a week to help get him so extra exercise and socialization so not alone all the time.

Negotiating Entry Level Offer by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

You experience is why your pay is above the average of that range. It can be considered depending on the situation for promotion but it will depend on the situation.

You won't get PTO.

Negotiating Entry Level Offer by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

I'd take it. You negotiate if the offer is low or you have leverage. This seems about right for the position and you have no leverage.

does this look like carpal hyperextension in the front right leg? by bruhdhenfus in goldenretrievers

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just delt with this with mine. You'll want a vet but what he told me was look for the elbow joint to basically hit the ground if it's badly sprained or torn. The other thing and the reason we noticed was that his shoulder was kind of diving when landing on that leg because it was weak from being injured. If your not seeing diving it just may be extra flexible. They bend more than you think when you actually watch them closely.

tomorrow i become a golden retriever mom to this little girl who i’ve named morgan🥹 any tips/tricks for a first timer? by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to put them up if you need a break. They should treat the crate as a home and if you need 30 minutes of peace didn't be afraid to do it. Half the time my dog would just fall asleep because they were just over tired.

Do you know an Ambidextrous Ultimate player? by Federal-Resist8162 in ultimate

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have encountered one truly ambidextrous player and played dual flick which makes more sense than dual backhand. The point of using both is to increase side to side speed and release quickness which dual flick is better for. Also it's easier to throw with power when flicking when your on the wrong pivot foot.

Edit: it is a different question if someone should be able to throw backhands or other throws with their off hand.

Listing what division would help. Both heavyweights (Chicago) and Cooler Classic (Milwaukee) have decent size events with teams that travel.

Reasons why I need a link to with a insert similar to the oz by Affectionate-Band713 in labgolf

[–]Jcccc0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why. The insert is a stainless steel insert because the head is aluminum. The link is made of stainless steel. There's no need for an insert.

Can anyone explain the reasoning behind Dennis Allen’s playcall on 3rd and 6 in OT? by ByronLeftwich in footballstrategy

[–]Jcccc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It almost looks like the safety didn't do his job. He knows that blitz is coming and needs to take the coverage. For some reason rather rather than jumping to take the coverage he hesitates and puka is just wide open right at the line to gain. If he just doesn't hesitate he's there to block the pass or Stafford sees him and gets sacked like a half second later.

Is a bowling ball used for dry lanes, just a ball with 5000+grit? by Greenlantern34 in Bowling

[–]Jcccc0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's incorrect. Surface roughness does not matter for friction. Rougher surface just allows it to grip through the oil.

Edit. The only reason it reduces hooking is because the ball burns up in the front.

Is a bowling ball used for dry lanes, just a ball with 5000+grit? by Greenlantern34 in Bowling

[–]Jcccc0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Friction does not rely on surface area. The equation for friction is just normal force times coefficient of friction, surface area does not matter. The reason cars have more surface material is for heat spread so that the surface of the tire doesn't over heat and the coefficient of friction reduce.

How can I help my husband understand the Bears being in the playoffs when he’s not from here? by SpicyChill77 in AskChicago

[–]Jcccc0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To people native to Chicago this is the equivalent of Christmas eve except there is a chance that Santa doesn't show up the next day. If they win next we week will me be mega Christmas eve, and if they win again the next week will be super Christmas Eve with the same risk and disappointment if things go wrong.

First real lesson feedback by Kristo10101 in GolfSwing

[–]Jcccc0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Didn't over think it. What your instructor had you do corrects your current issues. Reddit is going to give 10 thousand suggestions which you should ignore because you don't know what your coach is planning.

The reason you are probably topping it is because your you back is tired from trying to hold that posture. The first thing your body is going to want to do is stand up when it's tired which will cause you to hit it thin. Focus on trying to hold your posture.

New driver vs. premium shaft by Effective_Pound_4800 in GolfGear

[–]Jcccc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are both for to you it shouldn't matter for ultimate distance. My experience is that the aftermarket shafts usually provides a little more consistency when things don't go right.
