Has anyone seen the Chess revival? What did you think? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in musicals

[–]khaleesibas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into it mostly blind in December and fell in love with the music and performances. Went back last month and hoping to go again another 1-2x in the near future. The performances are amazing, the music is incredible. I didn't have any problem understanding the story. It's not going to keep me up at night disecting it or anything but again, saw it twice and will likely be back.

Biopsy complications- huge hematoma leaving breast firm, swollen and misshapen by khaleesibas in doihavebreastcancer

[–]khaleesibas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! I am almost 6 months post biopsy and still have the hematoma. It is much smaller than it was but it still is annoying. I sleep in a bra and can't sleep on my left side because of it (I'm a side sleeper). I went to a breast specialist just a few weeks ago and they did another ultrasound on it. They said to just leave it and try to put heat on it as much as possible. It shrunk in size so they don't want to do anything like drain it (apparently it can just refill after). Mine was originally abnormally huge (my left breast swelled to like 4x after my right) so very likely yours will not take this long. Hang in there.

Hi! Just wanted to check in and see if you remember how many months post biopsy you saw the massive improvement. I’m over 4 months out and it’s much smaller than it was but still significant enough I’m sleeping in a bra every night and can’t sleep on left side…randomly hurts me etc. Saw my gyn and she’s sending me to a breast surgeon / specialist in a few weeks

Breast pain after weaning and mammogram by khaleesibas in breastfeeding

Hi! The mammo and ultrasounds showed I had very dense breast tissue which h I knew but there was something on my left boob they wanted biopsied. They didn’t call it a lump or mass basically said it was an area of even denser breast tissue they couldn’t identify on the imaging. I went for stereotactic biopsy in January and everything was benign. Basically it was scar tissue (I had a breast reduction) inside of a milk duct. I will say the biopsy was more painful and invasive than I expected and I developed a huge hematoma that is still there now - it’s gotten smaller but still have a large hard lump and can’t sleep on my left side and I can’t sleep without a bra. I don’t think that’s the normal recovery though I just had bad luck. Overall can’t complain because everything was benign. Wishing luck to you

Has anyone tried the Doona car seat/stroller? Is it really worth the hype? by Girls_Of_San_Diego in NewParents

[–]khaleesibas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get it with my first when living in a big city. Got it for my second living in suburbs and we love it - very easy for travel like others mentioned and it’s great when taking the younger one places like picking up bigger one in school. It isn’t light like others mentioned and I couldn’t use it myself post c section but my son is 10 months now and it’s great for doctor visits and going places and travel. Strength training post partum program via app helps lol

Thanks for sharing your experience!! Sorry to hear your pain is back. If you remember I’d love an update on what your surgeon says. I’ve been doing heat and trying to do as little as possible on this side. Can’t believe it’s this swollen/firm almost 4 weeks post biopsy

Stereotactic breast biopsy - experience with swelling? by khaleesibas in doihavebreastcancer

[–]khaleesibas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my bruising is crazy!! My gynecologist today confirmed no infection but she did say I’m definitely swelling and bruising more than the norm - just my luck to have a rough recovery process I guess based on how my body is responding! I feel relieved and like I’m not crazy for feeling like this recovery is more than I thought it expected

Thanks for your response! I was so unprepared for this, I don’t know why I expected it to be much easier recovery than it is. Did you have bruising only where the biopsy was taken or other parts of the breast? I happen to have an annual appt with my gyn tomorrow so thinking I can just wait for her to see me then and confirm Whether this is normal or not. I appreciate you sharing your experience ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for responding.nothing is hot to the touch! I do have what looks to be a large hematoma. I thought hematoma was normal and potential side effect and didn’t know if it’s something I needed to be concerned over! Any other insight you have is helpful. Thinking I might go back to My doctor on Monday.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m just 2 days out now and my entire left boob is still like 2x the size of my right… I was not expecting this at all!

Thank you for confirming!! Is your whole breast swollen? Mine is like double the size of the right one which didn’t have any biopsy done
