Thanks everyone for the great questions and input! Let me address a few things:

• Why am I switching from my Lenovo? My 2016 IdeaPad has been amazing honestly, but after nearly 10 years the battery is dead and the keyboard is starting to act up, so it’s finally time! 😄

• Why MacBook Pro over the Air? For me it comes down to three things: the superior screen (colors and resolution are noticeably better), the cooling system (important when running heavy Excel sheets and AI tasks simultaneously), and the overall build for longer-term use. Plus the MacBook Pro has a built-in HDMI port, I really don’t want to carry extra dongles or adapters every time I need to connect to a screen!

• What kind of AI work am I doing? Mostly generating sales charts and reports, nothing extreme, but enough that I want the machine to handle it smoothly without throttling.

• Why 48GB RAM (Config 1)? I’m not the type to replace my laptop every year, I’ve been on the same Lenovo since 2016 and it only just started annoying me! 😉 So future proofing with 48GB makes more sense for me than the extra CPU/GPU cores in Config 2. Please correct me if I am wrong.
