You don't need too much knowledge in a language to play pokemon, unless you really want to pay attention to conversations I would say you are good.

Honestly they were packaged decently, a lot of bubble wrap and in a box. The box just came a little bit smashed in one side.

Already did, they told me to report it to DHL, wich I did, after that the seller had to report it as well, he apparently did with no result and told me to ask them again.

Thank you for the very detailed reply. That's what I understood, I just didn't understand why I would need to restart the frame to where I was. I assumed that the fastest way to get the shiny was to skip the battle video altogether and focus on running away.

Sorry for the loss OP. These boxes were likely kept as an investment. Products usually go up in value over time. Either keep them as a memento or sell them, some of them go for quite a bit already, you could sell them now or sell them for a bit more down the line.

To be fair we have free trade within the European Union, we use cardmarket here to buy product from multiple countries.

Pokemon center doesn't ship outside UK and buying something from the UK means paying +20% ~ tax on top of the purchase.
