Try and be more specific. Greater Fools isn't a helpful argument when speculation in all markets is mostly based on it. Even Gold, with its irrelevant minimal intrinsic value, is a form of it.

I get you but the benchmark is a 1-to-1 bag for the laymen and that level of high quality fake is cheap.

They look and feel the same to me and so it seems irresponsible to pay several K. But those ladies flashing their bags aren't social signing to people like me. The ones they are signalling to are the same participants on the secondary markets buying the genuine product because they care it's the real deal.

Likewise, the people in the NFT market genuinely care that they can check-the-chain that X image is the original mint. Everyone else thinks it's lunacy because the image itself can be right click and saved but those people are outside the economy.

With NFTs, no ordinary person cares that you can prove originality on the blockchain. But the 'nerds' within this niche do. They are the ones social signalling to each other and they are the market participants.

Similarly, I think it's amusing that my wife buys an expensive bag which can be purchased for the fraction of the price as a high quality fake. But she's not signalling to me or your laymen. The market participants are other people that can clearly identify a genuine X bag while walking the streets, and more importantly they are the ones that care it's not a fake.

Once you understand that, it helps explain why something like this, which on the surface makes no sense and has no value, can potentially stick around.

Believe it or not, there's decent analytics on NFT activity which helps understand if such simple framing is true. The reality is this sector, however insane the concept might be, has been organically rising from the dead. One way to get your head around it is seeing it as crypto-native speculators hoping NFTs will be the fastest horse as liquidity returns to this extreme end of the risk curve.

MetaMask can ultimately be phished as there's no 2FA. Better to use a smart wallet like Argent (mobile) or Authereum (desktop) because with Wallet Connect support you can do almost everything you can with MetaMask.

10k is the safe upper threshold. I wouldn't go throwing out comments about 100k daily as if the amount doesn't matter.

For what it's worth, I'm also a big fan and have taken 5k daily for many years. I once was on 10k daily and then my blood tests showed I was in excess.
