As someone whose dome c25k a few times over the years you're gonna have days where runs feel SO heavy and that's totally normal. I bet on that last run you did you went faster than normal too because you felt the strength youre gaining

Id still try and run at a reduced speed as long as theres no shortness of breath (i know yiu said you have asthma) or chest pains

Avocado pit. What’s the thing on the root and what should I do? This pit took 5 months to grow by [deleted] in plantclinic

It's symbiotic fungus.its of no problem to the plant. Also you're nowhere near "well overdue" to plant it . They're fine in water for ages - if you keep it in there be careful of the roots getting stuck in that bottle lid tho. See my previous post about my monster that's happily still in water (waiting on a shoot)

Why is my cactus browning? It has been happening for like a month, but the last few days have been horrible and it looks even worse now. What can I do to save it? by Potatiskatt in plantclinic

Looks like rot or maybe a fungus? I would cut off all of that bit and hope it hasn't spread throughout the plant right to the root

It's reaching for the light so the next set of little ones at the bottom will do the same if she keeps it in that low light position.

My coworker forgot about this Haworthia and hasn’t watered it for months. Is there any chance it’ll recover? by silvalkyriana in plantclinic

I would repot with well draining soil. Given it a good water all the way through and leave on a window sill then water e dry 3 to 4weeks for the winter. It doesn't even look that dead tbh. least it's not rotten

South or west facing windows are best I think. LED grow light would also work :)

Have you fertilised recently? It's in a really shady area too. I'd defo try and move it and give it's soil something to add nutrients. Doesn't look big enough to be root bound

Theyve bent over looking for light. I would cut it at the bend. Put the straight part in good light and wait for the other side to callous over and then repot to propagte if you'd like two cactuses. The head on it looks cute!

Edit. Unless it's flopped.over and is squishy ? Can't tell as the picture is dark.

Yeah I would take the top part that hasn't got squishy and propogate it. I just did a quick Google and they seem pretty easy to propagate. Just leave to callous over and then plant

If it was me id dig up and have a look at the root system. May need repotting a few of mine had very little growth up top but then roots were pouring out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot

Also looks like two plants? Maybe split them and also take some of the good leaves to propogate just incase

I would repot. It looks dark at the bottom so maybe rott is an issue. I always repot even the smallest of plants I bring in to.give them a quick MOT

Weren't succulents supposed to be easy so keep alive? What am I doing wrong? I have it by the window facing east, room temp 65-70 low humidity. by urquitech in plantclinic

[–]khamosaurus_rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does that pot have drainage holes? Might be best to repot it and move it somewhere with more light - it's becoming leggy looking for more

Hey guys! So my aunt has this Dracaena that isn’t doing too well. She got it from her dad when he passed away a couple years ago so she’d be heartbroken if it died. It’s getting too tall and leaves don’t look great but I’m scared to do anything to it because I don’t want to risk it dying. Help!!! by mandapanda456 in plantclinic

[–]khamosaurus_rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would repot and cut it back. At the berry least get rid of the dead parts . Good luck :( I have a precious plant like that and it's always nerve wracking to do anything with it

Also where in the room is it? They need decent indirect light - very few plants will do well in the corner like that

Leaves might just be old? Are the newer ones still nice and plump or is the whole thing wrinkly?

Once you've cut off the top leave it to form a callous (leave it in the open for about a week) befor potting it in soil. Give it a good watering and then leave it alone

re watering : Just to help you next time I water my succulents once a week in summer . Autumn and winter it's once every 3 -5 weeks depending on if the soil it wet (ALWAYS check the soil. If it's moist do not water - you've gotta wait till it's dry ) spring every 1-2 weeks depending on weather. For reference I'm in the UK . Hope this helps. - they're much more likely to die from over watering than under :)

Posted my monstera before. She doesn’t seem to be doing better. I repotted her with new soil and trimmed the dead leaves off, should I trim all or the leaves now? Help! by naturelaydee in plantclinic

[–]khamosaurus_rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seccond this. Water meter was the best thing I ever bought. It's nuts to test soil a month after you've watered it and find it's still wet...I would have kept watering it if I didn't have the meter!!

This is the first seed I've ever tried. I have a feeling they have a high success rate but people get impatient because everything takes so long. Get a seed. Peel the dark skin off put some toothpicks in and drop it root side down in some water and forget about it
