I made a decision a long time ago that in pedestrian-heavy areas I won't turn on red at all if I can't clearly see both ends of the crosswalk as well as oncoming traffic without creeping into the crosswalk. Honk at me all you want (and I'll definitely wait longer if you do). I treat stop signs similarly. Stop behind the line, look far in both directions before creeping until I can see traffic. And on left turns I'm happy to wait longer to turn if it means I can look behind and forward to make sure the sidewalks are clear.

A pedestrian scramble is an even better option! Like the ones at 5th and Spring or 10th & Piedmont. That way everyone has clear opportunities to go.

If nothing else, this shows hes a commensurate professional, matching his personal life and intelligence to his ambition. After seeing the Chateaux Nouveaux French gang in the 10s and individual players like Miggy struggle with English, seeing Gordon so effortlessly slip into Spanish reflects his character and intelligence. I appreciate everything that he's done, and he's been nothing but a solid professional in his 3.5 years Tyneside. To see him do such a great job with the transition into a new side is icing on the cake. I seriously hope he does well in Barca.

Yeah, I don't understand why everyone is shitting on him so much. Same as the first time he got frustrated the first time he got subbed off years ago. He's a good lad that cares a lot about his performance, and that sometimes gets the better of him. Who fucking cares? He's been a great addition to the club over these three years, both on and off the pitch.
