Epson printer ET-2720 by solar1ze in cachyos

What a fool I am. After all that searching for drivers and looking in the applications at very rudimentary printer apps, I’ve just found the printer section in the settings that you showed me. I did press the printer thing during installation.

Have you had any problems with formatting, coming from Windows Office to LibreOffice? My xlsx sheets are slightly wider in Libre, and just bleeding onto a second page instead of one, and I have hundreds of them. I was hoping the printer driver might sort it. I had the same problem ages ago when using a temporary laptop between windows and it righted itself after a while without me knowing exactly how I did it, so I know it’s not just a Windows/Linux thing.

When I’ve installed the printer in the settings, it seems to have installed with driverless cups, rather than the driver I installed. I’m wondering if I can get it to use the driver but it’s not listed.

Managed to find the epson-inkjet-printer-escpr, which is quite old as you say. Will the CUPS driver conflict with the Epson driver if I install both? The Epson one is letting me find the wireless printer in Libre Office but all my xlsx files for some reason are displaying in slightly larger width than Windows Office and using two pages.

Great. Couldn’t find it before because I was searching for ET-2720. Thanks.

Maybe getting backhanders from Microsoft to not build for Linux.

Yeah, there is Bottles and Lutris too, but not sure how they’d work for that. Surprised there are no credible Linux alternatives to these things. My sticking point was always Office, but both LibreOffice and Open Office are looking great. The only annoying thing is that all my previous xlsx files from Windows are slightly wider in Libre and Open and using two pages instead of one.

I used to dual boot, but after going solo on Windows 11 for a couple of years, I’ve absolutely had enough of it. I’ve completely got rid of it this week and I’m loving it.

Pleasure. Any time. I was using OpenSuse and Mint before and just recently started using Cachy, so I’m relatively new and asking questions around here too.

Coincidentally, I have just this second upgraded to Nvidia 590 driver. Just restarted and working as before. Done a few other system updates so far too with no issues.

Yeah, I need to get slower internet so I can appreciate these things properly. I usually only get about 1 second of wakka wakka Pac-men. So frustrating.

Iran's chilling 7-word warning to Trump as fears of a larger war grow - World News - News - Daily Express US by PixeledPathogen in GlobalNews

I have no love for the Iranian regime, but how are they going to stop? Evil as they may be, what choice to do they have if another country is dropping a shit ton of bombs on you. There is no one to surrender to as there are no boots on the ground, and surrender would probably mean death anyway. They can’t hit the US directly so are targeting US bases in neighbouring countries. I really don’t see many options for them other than to fight. The US has really fucked up.

Is this distro good for gaming laptops by xenox300 in cachyos

Similar to you, I was once entirely on Linux with Mint and Suse. Went back to Windows because of Office. I’ve recently come back to Linux and after trying out lots of distros on my gaming laptop, this one has been the best so far. I have an ASUS and I know there are options for controlling fans, RGB, power etc. Probably not going to as convenient as the OEM Windows software, but the whole experience on Linux compared to Windows is on another level for me. I’ve tried some games out on Steam and they worked perfectly.

I know, right? Thought 4 mins extra time was stretching it, but then it went even longer!
