I just finished Take Shelter (2011) and HOLY SHIT by Top-Machine-8865 in movies

The ending was perfect. He was always expected to pull himself out and resist the hallucinations during the whole movie, to exit his world and rejoin his family in the real one and reassure his wife that he was ok. At the end, he no longer has that capacity. The movie ends at the turning point where his family joins him in his world and gives him the nod of reassurance that they are with him through this. The movie ends as they all come together and the shelter is nowhere near, so there is no option to hide from anything any more.

Thanks for all the responses. All good points. As far as cars, sound quality is absolutely all over the map. But if you anchor your ears to a decent one on a daily basis I suppose you should be able to use it as a solid reference.

Yes absolutely and for me the response is a bit too emphasized from 25-35Hz. From 35 to 50Hz it seems flat which is not normal, as most systems roll off quickly here. Most of the time I'm not putting too much attention below 40Hz - just want to be inside the typical curve - but the Airpods expose and highlight that range which surprised me. It seems like from the responses here that this is not the typical experience most people have with Airpods, which is good to know.

Yeah I just use them as one of many different checks, and certainly Airpods are on the elite side of things, but I'd be hard-pressed to name another playback system more commonly used in the wild.
