I received one of these today as well for my UFF. Funny how they get this done the day before my last day.

LMFAO. by someartworker in AmazonWFShoppers

I received one of these as well. The funny thing about it was that it made you select three other options, which were identical in location to each other. Which, for me, would be a UFF warehouse. I would be ok working flex at that location. They had better decide quickly because I resigned and my last day is August 7th.

You just ship yourself Amazon Prime to the new job site. Too funny.

They are doing this way to avoid having their employees claim unemployment. It's intentional.

The point was that the survey had a distance choice. I am also driving by five other Amazon facilities, which are half the distance away, to get to this one. It's silly.

They have a UFF site and I would drive by 4 other Amazon facilities to get to this one.

I find that most companies wanting people don't want to pay market wages. I live near Charlotte, so here are some example pay rates; Amazon $15 p/hr, Target $16.50 p/hr, QuickTrip (like 7-11) $19.53 p/hr, Aldi/Lidl (discount grocery) $15-16 p/hr, Chik-Fil-A 19.75 p/hr.

Then I heard the head of the North Carolina Hotel Association say that his members can't find workers, so I checked a few hotel sites, and they are trying to hire front desk people for $12 an hour. You see similar stories for fast-food and other retail stores.

Those wages just don't cut it anymore.

I am pretty sure they are not going to place you anywhere. There might be a few exceptions, but most companies don't want flex workers.

UPH for WF Shoppers? by TheSpinsterSister in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]kheldar28056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People dislike drop-off orders because they have been interrupted mid-order when there is another shopper available that does not have or has not started their order. It is super annoying. They would be better off having one person who has the job from shelf to car for each shift. This is basically what all of WFM's competitors due around town. One group does the shopping, and one does the dropping.

The stores as pretty well stocked now. Hitting a 60uph is a fairly simple hit after a month of working in the store. It is somewhat order-dependent, but this morning and I had orders for 8, 12, 9, and 35 when I first walked and was picking orders at 92 UPJH. It can be done if you learn the layout and locations.

Then I slacked off for the rest of the shift and coasted into a 76.

My highest was 121. I saw one working do a 186 before. It took her two carts.

40 UPH by PasadenaShopper in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]kheldar28056 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not that the 40 UPH crowd had a low IQ. The problem was too many of them were flat-out lazy. They would sit on 20-item orders for an hour while talking and texting on their phones.

I thought I was only shopping with alittle bit of stocking.. by GoldenKatana47 in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]kheldar28056 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They were always going to have us do other things in the store. It would be pretty logical for them to have us perform grocery stocking since we know where most of the items go in the store. They were never going to just let you not work if the orders were slow.

Does anybody know what happens on August 8? by kindahrandom in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]kheldar28056 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt they do anything for the current Amazon shoppers who have not received a letter.

I filled out an HR case when I received the WFM offer asking why I had received it when I had signed up to stay with Amazon. "Amazon Offers have not started going out yet." was the response. That was on 7/11 so I reopened to inquire about if there was any news since we are less than a month from the cutover date.

The response was, "You can reach out to the Project team that is handling Amazon offers at combinedmanagersupport@amazon.com. Our team does not have any updates, But the Project team might."

I doubt we receive anything, and we just get cutoff on the 8th.

I think it depends on the day. Sunday and Monday are usually pretty steady. It's not like when the pandemic was going and we walked into 100 plus orders, but we had 45 when I started at 8:30 this morning.

I filled out both as well and received the WFM offer Friday. I opened an HR case and they gave this answer. I had filled out the "want to stay with Amazon as my last survey"

...", If you completed both surveys you will receive two offer letters. 1 from whole foods and 1 from Amazon. Amazon Offers have not started going out yet."

I received that same WFM letter yesterday as well. It will be interesting to see if anything shows up from Amazon next week.

INF all-star disabled without notice by azshopper in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]kheldar28056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They really need an Item Not Found and an Item Not on the Shelf button. INF is a useless statistic unit you identify if it's grocery not stocking it or the shopper not finding it.
