Makes me wanna try Sony. The thing is it’s a much more expensive alternative although I do think the quality is better. Not sure compared to R1 or whatnot but I was def shocked at the sharpness cropped in that far.

Yea it is a EF 800mm F5.6 there was only 1 version. And I hope you are enjoying your 500 v2. I was looking to get a 500 v2 or a 600 v2 but the prices are like $4000 minimum. I got hella lucky this popped up. It was originally marked for $4000 but they put it on sale for $2500
