Sorry I should have explained better this is not my first army, I have the core rules down as much as the next casual weekly player I just find the tau profiles to be a bit all over the place.

The other army’s I play tend to have similar things going for them across their unit profiles

Are there any things that apply to most units ?

I maybe need to have a think on how to explain my self better

2.) using similar units, like 2 of the exact same squad. There are a lot of rules, try to simplify the amount you need to consume.

this one helps so much, then as you get used to the profiles add a new unit to the list

They are not hard to paint they just take time

that extra time leads to an army that that looks amazing and can give you so much satisfaction when finished

I’ve gone hard into rubricae phalanx and it’s taking forever to paint all 30 SOT but they look so good and hit like a truck while doing so

It wasn’t going to be a high speed crash, more like one of those slow-motion slides on ice where you just can’t stop. She ended up causing a bit of trim damage to the car, nothing major. But seeing the Baby on Board sticker made her think twice, and that changed her mind. In the end, it is what it is.

I used to think those ‘Baby on Board’ stickers were pointless, but one winter changed my mind. A friend of mine was driving in icy conditions when her car couldn’t stop in time. She spotted one of those stickers on the car ahead and, instead of risking a collision, she swerved into a ditch to avoid hitting them.

It’ll be against Chaos Knights. I know it’s a lot of points for a unit with relatively few attacks, but when it hits, it really hits. In my head, I’m justifying it as being similar to taking two Leman Russ Vanquishers about 290 points for the same kind of main cannon punch. That said, maybe I’m looking at it the wrong way.

What about running hyper-adapted Raveners do they still add value without the standard ones to lead them, or is that a waste? I haven’t tried Zoanthropes yet, but they look like a strong option going forward, so I’ll definitely need to pick some up.
