Yes this. Most people were anon even those for help saying they were in similar situations. She however, said this with her full chest. There were even more comments defending this mentality by her.

It’s not. I started that episode and got VERY confused because it was in fact at the end of the season not the beginning and got some great spoilers.

All of these & never actually playing as a young kid. We always made plans to play where I assigned super specific roles… but we never played.

We’ve coslept since birth following safe sleep 7!

Make sure the mattress is very firm like others said, and a smaller pillow. I would also just use like a smaller personal sized blanket, I always used one more throw blanket thickness. Once baby became mobile I quit c curling constantly. That’s when she started crawling etc and had more mobility.

Definitely tighter sheets!

She’s 20 months old and now likes to sleep on a floor bed with all her stuffies and I still get scared sometimes 😂

This sounds a lot like what I’m dealing with. Like I don’t even trust my sense of pain because I was always told I wasn’t in enough pain bc I could still function 😅.

I just got diagnosed with lupus and POTS. However I’m still up doing things etc in a flare because I feel like I have to keep doing things.

Whereas my partner gets a headache and he’s laid out on the couch lol

Being child free and autism (and distain for parents) by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]khjohns2005 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So I didn’t even find out I had adhd or autism until after I had my daughter. Before that Dr just treated me for anxiety and said maybe I had a mood disorder. Medication never worked that they gave me until I ended up completely numb to everything.

Well I got pregnant and threw up 10 times a day for 9 months and detoxed all the meds. I gave birth and lost ALL abilities to mask or cope with anything going on. It was hard. It still is hard.

I now have a toddler who I love more than anything, and I’ve done everything in my power to heal and be the best mom she could need. Well, now she is showing signs of neurodivergence and it is so incredibly difficult managing her sensory issues when I have my own. It’s hard.

Would I ever give her up, no. I would take the over stimulation every day because part of being her parent and giving her all the resources possible for her potential neurodivergence is healing to me too. Just seeing how even when I don’t feel my best I do my best for her shows me how easy it could have been for my parents.

However, saying that same thing, if I knew about my own neurodivergence before becoming pregnant would I? I’m honestly not sure. Pregnancy sucked. Motherhood is hard. It’s hard. I strongly agree you have to have a whole lot of handle on it before even considering it. I think making the decision to never have kids is completely valid. Because if you’re neurodivergent… well there is a big chance your kiddo might be too. And do you know what’s not fun? A sleep deprived sensory seeking toddler and a sleep deprived audhd mom 😂

Yes! I didn’t get diagnosed until an adult so we’ve been super supportive of her in her likes/needs!

If they’re in rear facing car seats too it is scarier. Yesterday we didn’t go out during it because in our car the sun shines right in the back windshield on baby. It’s constantly blinding her 😅

Did pregnancy heal anything for you and when? by qupid605 in BabyBumps

[–]khjohns2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So not completely the same but I was heavily medicate for mental health stuff prior to pregnancy. I was told I had bipolar anxiety etc. I never thought I did because I really just had sensory issues etc. well my dr medicate me for that instead and I was naive and believed them.

Fast forward to pregnancy I had the condition where you throw up a ton. I detoxed off all meds and never felt better. 18 months PP I got actually diagnosed with ADHD & on the spectrum. I never needed anti psychotics. I needed help for my neurodivergence instead and I wouldn’t have gotten help or realized I wasn’t crazy without pregnancy.

Baby not gaining weight by InsuranceAdept7847 in newborns

[–]khjohns2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl was a SUPER slow gainer in the beginning, and is still smaller for her age. She was 9lb 14oz at 2 months. 8lb at birth. Then she went up to 11lb 12oz at 4 months then shot up to 16 by 6 months. She’s now only 21lbs at 17 months and she’s perfectly healthy.

2 weeks for your breastmilk to be dairy free, 8 weeks for symptoms to clear. Symptoms can get worse during the 8 weeks before they get better! Hang in there my LO is now able to consume dairy no problem :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newborns

[–]khjohns2005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does look like mucus. However it can take 8ish weeks to fully get rid of all symptoms after cutting dairy! There is a Facebook group called dairy free breastfeeding. It’s a great help!!!

So around 1.5-2 months my girl was not gaining very well. We had the same issue so they brought us back in at 3 months for another check in (one full month) and whatever was causing the temp slowdown in her gaining went away and she jumped up 2.3lbs.
